Following potential 2013 draftees

This is a great draft to have multiple picks. There is very little difference from picks #5-#15 depending on team needs and draft boards.

I could also see some teams in the lottery selling their pick for a #1 next year as it's shaping up to be the best frontloaded draft since 2003. They get future assets, a license to tank another year and the right to take on guys who have superstar potential vs. guys who maybe can make an all-star game.

The true measure of a draft can't really be felt until 3-4 years down the road, but I feel pretty good about where we are sitting and being able to grab some guys that can be part of our rotation.

I also have to admit that Schroder is my focal point at #14 and if we had to move #21 to secure him, I would do it. His quickness is elite even by NBA standards and his jump shot will keep defenses honest. It's hard to be an All-Star PG in this league simply due to how many great players there are, but success should be measured in moving the needle towards contender status.

Burks/Hayward/'Bazz/Favors/Kanter, we could break the record for the youngest starting 5 to win a championship. i bet we have quite a few years in that window

if this scenario plays out i will be posting in all caps trade the '14 pick for schroeder, after the bazz to jazz pick is in

Change the word Bazz for Wiggins or Jabari and we might have a chance.

If we end up trading up I will be pleasantly surprised.
I would rather trade down for more picks next year, or better yet trade up.... then trade down for better picks next year.

I'm not overly impressed with the darft this year, and just hope we luck into getting a good role player.
I doubt we will land a star or starter.
My only hope is that we get a decent PG out of the draft.

a bit pessimistic perhaps? yea, but realistic.

i think we are lying to ourselves thinking the jazz arent gonna be really good next year, methinks the pick is in the 20's, id trade that pick for Schroeder, Gobert, McCollum, Tony Mitchell, Larkin i say we go into next year with flexibility and all of our youngins within a four year window of their rookie contracts

Hayward for the rights to Bazz
14' pick for a top fifteen pick, Rights to Rudy Gobert
#14 pick Schroder
#21 Tony Mitchell
2nd rounder Jaiteh

yes thats 5 rookies... we need to sign 3 more for 15 or 4 you stash Gobert for a year(he needs to eat)

sign, Tinsley, Foye, CP3 and Dwight howard

CP3, Burks, Shabazz, Favors, Howard
Schroder,Foye, Mitchell, Kanter, Kanter
Tinsley, Murphy, Evans, Mitchell, Jaiteh

Genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fire Lindsey and KOC, hire PointGod_AlecBurks.
You can get all your work done on Jazzfanz, right?

chad ford always seems to be down on international players

....what?

Chad Ford has almost always had a boner for international players. Darko, the dude the Nuggets drafted a while back, Chad Ford loves Euro's.

Chad Ford is also an idiot, but that's not the point.

for now. I've got a few offers that would really sap my time, but its not a good fit. might have some ventures coming to fruition soon. im not in any rush, if i was offered the GM job of the jazz id take it on the condition that i get paid minimum wage(so no one would think im there other to do anything but better the team, Warren Buffett style).

my other conditions would be. id like to have my own office fit for a king with a tremendous expensive wooden entrance,(double doors)high ceilings and a nice view, perhaps a fancy private bathroom w/shower, jacuzzi, most importantly id require an impressionable secretary, preferably a flawless Nordic Miss Universe type, that will get paid whatever she wants, on the millers buck. and im a happy man, and we win championships. #getitdone #missnorway

also an endless supply of high end cigars, and i will sign my name

I read all that and I swear there's a Bill Clinton joke awaiting discovery somewhere in there.

I don't think we can say that for sure yet Max.
