Following potential 2013 draftees

Wow.. didn't know so many fans here are opposed to bringing back Millsap at say $10m per year.. which I think could be reasonable.. Also last year was a bit of a nothing year, if we give him assurance that he'll start next to Favors, I think he'll play a bit better.

No matter - the plan can easily be revised. Simply sign Carl Landry instead in the same backup role he played for GSW. Seems to me the GSW tankers will be cash-strapped now with Biedrins have opted in for his final year so we can make a strong push at Landry.

Strategy:

- Trade up to get #13 from Dallas & Pick Bazz at #13 (we'll take on Marion's contract)

- Pick Schroeder at #14

- Kanter & Favors start from day 1.

- Sign Landry as our offensive 3rd big to play behind Kanter & Favors who will alternate being the anchor at Center. BTW this strategy also works if Millsap decides he'll be OK playing the 3rd big behind Kanter & Favors - give him $8-9mil as the backup big.

- Burks will play the role Hayward played this year (primary ball handler & 6th man)

Lineup:

Schroeder - Burks
Bazz
Hayward - Marion
Favors - Landry
Kanter

- Play these guys heavy minutes and let the chips fall where they may for '14/15 draft.

Not signing Sap to a multi year contract at 10 a year.

Numberica, just curious: still interested in Nemanja Nedovic? I haven't heard much about him this year. I see he's right behind Kabongo in DX mock, right in the neighborhood of the 46 pick.

Jamaal Franklin would be bad ***. Dude is a winner and tough as nails. If shro, cj and carter williams are off the board I would pick him up @ 14. Any one else love this kid?

he could play on my team any day of the week...

most jazzfanz in this thread really dont like him because of lack of shooting, i think hes got great upside and fits the jazz perfect, and im hopeful his shot improveshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7hyO_5Hf2M

All these mock drafts are so random, I'm basically done looking at them or reading anything into them. Generally, the top 8 players are set. After that, the field is pretty flat. I'd be very happily surprised if McCollum were there at #14.

Bro.. I just changed the strategy to bring in Landry instead. Could we please discuss that rather than going back and talking about spoiled milk?

Why on earth are you so confident Landry will have less market value than Sap, and why do you want to sign a vet that will HAVE to play anyway? And why, to lessen the ability of the Jazz to absorb contracts... to, what, make the playoffs?

I'm amazed you remember that. Basically, I bought into Nedovic strictly because Givony was/is so high on him, his efficiency be damned. I've learned in the meantime that even though Givony is the best draft analyst that I know of, everyone can be wrong and everyone has their pet likes and dislikes. I've cooled quite a bit on him, but wouldn't be upset if the Jazz drafted him. But I am more interested in James Ennis, Erik Murphy, Alex Abrines, maybe even BONGO. I'm sure someone that I like more will slip as well.

What does he do great? If his shooting is off.. what does he bring the team (and please don't say energy or hustle).
