I know those players are good finesse players but tough hard nose defense where you knock people around, euros just don't bounce back usually.

I doubt that. His dad sure wasn't soft.
It's what happen when someone is "given something" rather than having to make "something out of nothing".
Big difference.

I think Hardway Jr can be one of those tough defensive players that knocks down a 3 when called upon. Along with Bullock, Rice Jr, and few others.
I can't see that... he comes across as soft mentally. Very soft.
That's the problem when you have a nice dad and he spoils you.
Maybe.. I just have him at the bottom of that grouping (Crabbe, Franklin, Ledo, Rice, etc)
BTW I saw the same softness in Knight coming out of UK...

He's not soft. But he thinks too much.
Calipari wanted him taking the final game-winning shot because Knight was okay with missing it... meaning, life goes on, so the pressure didn't effect him. He hit two buzzer-beaters in the NCAA tourney in route to the Final Four. He's mentally tough, but his VERY SMART brain holds him back.. as silly as that sounds.
