Following potential 2013 draftees

Somehow I feel Dalamon should have played a role in this story.

PKM, Locke says some interesting things about Bazz on todays tipoff. It starts at 17:45 https://weareutahjazz.com/lockedonjazz/2013/06/19/tip-off-june-19-as-good-as-it-gets/

Really makes me Wonder if Bazz could fit with the others Youngs that the Jazz have. Do you think Bazz could grow to buy into a team concept. Locke makes the point that he had extremely bad numbers in every statistical catagory except for points and that he was "Incredibly selfish" and " he wants all the glory". Personally, I worry he turns into a more selfish Monta Ellis type player (High Usage, low Efficiency and maybe a locker room headache). At some point, does Bazz just figure out that he's kicking against the pricks and that team basketball is 100 times better than the me me me thing he has going on? I'm honestly curious to know your take on this. With our group of guys thus far, I think our best chance to win is if the players develop a team concept similar to the Spurs, which is a culture i think the Jazz can Replicate to some degree. At this point it is too early in the process of doing so to take a guy like Bazz. or atleast that is what i think.

I totally think he can be a team first guy and zero locker room problem. Neither of those are issues for me. I think he'll work hard, he'll play both ends (will surprise people with defense) and will score. If I was also certain he would lose his 'gotta score' tunnel vision and learn to make the nice pass, I'd take him #1. That's my knock on him..

If we wnd up taking him, I sure hope you are right.

Interesting stuff from Chad Ford ‏@chadfordinsider this morning:

Jamaal Franklin joining the Oladipo-McLemore-Porter workout in Cleveland on Wednesday. What a workout!!!

Working on my annual ranking draft prospects by tiers column. Never seen such an utter lack of consensus among teams so close to draft.

Kings could really shake-up the draft at 7. Heard they like both Tony Snell & Tim Hardaway Jr. a lot. Both in Sacramento today working out

Kings also like Muhammad, but he had to pull out of a 2nd workout w/ Kings today because of an injury …

Like I said, there's zero consensus in draft after 1st 6 guys - Noel, Oladipo, Porter, McLemore, Len & Bennett. Wide-open after that ...

The Kings have the 7th and 36th picks. Snell & Hardaway would both be gone by 36. 7th is way earlier than anyone predicts for those guys. Now 21 would be a great place to pick Snell or Hardaway......

Top 6 isn't even firm with Noel looking to slip a little and McLemore performing poorly in workouts. Odds increasing that Len gets picked 1st?

I can see teams trying to trade down this year more than most years. So many question marks.

Erick Green's role at Virginia Tech was virtually the same as McCollum's at Lehigh, and his stats are very similar notwithstanding the fact that he was in a tough conference. He has decent PG skills, which he'll have to continue to develop. I don't see the Jamal Crawford comp, tbh.

If the Jazz can't get McCollum in this draft, there appears to be enough parity between prospects like Schroeder and Green, that the Jazz can afford to take another player at #14 and take Schroeder or Green at #21.

When I think about Green, I just remember BYU shutting him down by play Brock Zylstra of all people on him. Maybe Green be a good pro but somewhere Brock Zylstra will be saying I made that guy look like a scrub and I am unathletic white guy.

That there are..

I see Len or Noel, one, being the #1 taken. However, I do NOT think whoever is left on the board is a lock for #2. Pretty weird.

That is why scouts don't look at one game. According to reports Ostertag outplayed Duncan during workouts and we all know how that turned out. Players have bad games and sometimes a certain opponent matches up well or plays over his head.
