I don't think that gets it done but I worry about him being able to help this team win something big. I have no doubt that he can help lead them to the playoffs but after that I am extremely doubtful about what he can/will do for the Jazz.

This. I'd be at 9/9.5 and bank on him being adequate to hold down the starting spot for years..
The PG position is dry enough that this seems like a reasonable plan... if we can't get Rondo (who fixes both PG and coach).
