Following potential 2013 draftees

Not comparing them to Paul or Williams just merely saying it is pretty close on who the better prospect is but right now it's Burke > MCW and everybody else thought Paul was better than Williams as well.

Ah.. alright.

After watching tonight's Syracuse game I'm still not convinced MCW can be anything more than a backup PG in the NBA. His handle is still suspect, he still doesn't shoot it well enough to be reliable. He can finish at the rim, but that's something you'd want from your SG/SF, not really from your PG.

Well, what did I miss?

MCW played dominating basketball in the first half of the Big East Championship (6 assists, 0 turnovers). Syracuse blows a 16-point lead and ends up losing by 17. MCW didn't play so good in the 2nd half and finished with 11 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds, and 4 turnovers (all in the second-half). That's pretty much it for the prospects in the Jazz draft range.

Burke can be really special at the next level but my only concern is his height going to be a problem? The thing is for every Chris Paul or Ty Lawson there are a lot of D.J. Augustin's and Jonny Flynn's.

Can someone shed some light as to how Burke can be better than these guys? Other than just the leadership quality? PKM? Spy? who wants a stab?

Shooting, passing, floor vision, poise, BB IQ, decision making and hesitation moves should separate Burke from these guys. Burke's challenge will be getting to the rim and finishing in the lane.

People always talk about players' elite quickness, but the reality is that players play at game speed, not at a full sprint.

I'm starting to think that MCW is going to start slipping and Burke is going to end up being taken before him and before we get a chance to pick him.

I could picture a team that wants a PG taking him as early as 8 - 10. If he were like 2 inches taller, he'd be almost certainly a top-10 pick. Jazz will be lucky to get him. For some reason all the mocks have him in our draft range though. Hope that holds.
