Following potential 2013 draftees

2013 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament April 10-13

The Portsmith Invitational Tournament, once a hot spot for NBA scouts and College Seniors to prep before the draft gets more and more irrelevant each year.

Apparently they are having all kinds of trouble getting kids to come. More and more are backing out as it approaches.

IMO, if they want to try to be relevant again they need to move it up to get it done before the NCAA withdrawl deadline and open it up to all potential draftees, not just seniors.

here is the rosters. Jazz have attended Portsmith in the past. Haven't heard if they are this year under the Lindsey regime.
 
Chad Ford did his first Mock Draft today (Insider)

Also updated the Mock Lotto/Draft.

McGary up to #12.

CJ no where in sight.

So who would Jazz fanz prefer to see: Kelly Olynyk or Mason Plumlee

CJ no where in sight for the jazz (projected to high for us), or no where on the mock draft at all?.... and if that is the case, how high does the mock go?

Not on the mock lotto/draft. Ford may very well have slated CJ to the Jazz at 17-18, but without the Membership Privledges of an Insider, I will never know.
 
Why was everyone here rooting for Michigan?

Also, if they've 5 guys good enough to play in the NBA next year, how in the world did they lose?
 
Just for the record, I was happy that Louisville won. I liked their style of play better. Also, I was not impressed with the coach for Michigan judging by the 2 little pep talks I saw on TV.

I think the simple answer is "Rick Pitino". He had won this thing multiple times. He's been there, done that. When Michigan went on a run early, he used timeouts effectively, kept pushing his guys and was brave enough to bring in Hancockkk early when Russ was struggling. Also I think the fact that Michigan hadn't face a team that played zone the way Louisville did as well as that constant pressing.

I think the game was lost in 3 areas, not all of them are related to Beilein's doing:

1. Siva outplayed Burke in the 2nd half. It's as simple as that. Siva was fast, he was running the show. If Burke has 1 achilles' heel, it's his speed. He doesn't seem to have that 5th gear the way guys like John Wall or Chris Paul have.

2. Louisville came up BIG inside with those offensive rebounds. Not much a coach can do about that.

3. I think Beilein leaving Burke out for most of 1st half with 2 fouls was a mistake. Burke never got used to the speed of the game in the 2nd half. He was their best player, and this was a championship game, Beilein should have rolled the dice and put Burke in the 1st.
