Following potential 2013 draftees

Draft Express' Jeff Withey's video for those who haven't seen. Weaknesses worries me. He still has a ways to go offensively and he's already 23, is he already close to as good as he can be?

^He's a backup.

My biggest concern is the mental stuff. You can't do **** in the NBA if you can't stay engaged (see Marshun Barks)

Big men take the longest to reach their peak, so could still refine some offensive skills and put on 10 lbs. But at 23, ya its pretty much wysiwyg.

Withey's first anchor on offense should be a plain spot-up shot. If defenses have to respect an 18-20 foot shot, then that gives him something to work from (and he'll be more athletic than the average backup guarding him).

ESPN thinks Withey could be Asik's replacement:

Withey is almost tailor made for Chicago as an Asik replacement: He's a true 7-footer with an active, athletic body (Withey is a former volleyball player like fellow San Diego native Budinger). Plus, he's an excellent rebounder and was one of the best shot-blockers in the nation. Offensively, he's going to do most of his damage off of putbacks as well as dunks and layups off drive-and-dish plays. However, he also does a nice job of moving without the ball, utilizing weakside duck-ins and cuts to the rim.

Withey needs to play tougher IMO to survive in the NBA. Saw him a few times in the tournament, I see defensive skills, clever tricks in trying to get that block without fouling. But not yet the same kind of toughness that the turkish have shown though (Kanter & Asik).

At least we have the draft to look forward to, which always symbolizes hope.
Again, this year looks ok - considering the decent stuff that will fall to the Jazz. The draft isn't deep but it's wide. Does that make sense?

honestly Corbin's bad coaching cost the jazz at least 2 or 3 victories this season. that is the difference between the playoffs and not.

McCollum could be the pg of the future for the jazz more then just a rotational player. there are a lot of question marks about alot of players and if those said players work through those questions there will be some good players later in this draft.

This statement could be made about every draft in the history of the NBA
