Following potential 2013 draftees

I think my Big Board would go something like this:

1 Noel
2 Smart
3 McLemore
4 Porter
5 Bennett (he's got some bust potential)
6 Shabazz
7 Burke
8 McCollum
9 Adetokunbo
10 Olynyk
11 Norvel Pelle (but he needs to be awesome in workouts)
12 Oladipo
13 Archie Goodwin (I still believe)
14 Saric
15 Carter-Williams
16 Dieng
17 Blah blah Zeller blah
18 Isaiah Austin
19 Karasev
20 Withey
21 McGary or maybe GRIII (not sure)

Wow.. when even PKM doesn't?!?! That's true faith!

Way too much physical talent, and still very young. Plus he has that edge and mental toughness. I'd rather have Goodwin as a prospect than Jeremy Lamb.

I think if he plays with some structure and with a solid PG he'll be in a more comfortable role. I think he'll be a better pro than college player.

PKM has been ON POINT with his talk about CJ McCollum. Definitely worth both of our picks.

He is a great fit for our team, much like Burke. He seem's like the ultimate O'Connor guy. Success in the NCAA against a great team (Duke in 2012), great size for his position, multifaceted combo guard with a great attitude, work ethic, and teamwork. Coachable.

I'd be very pleased with us drafting him. I mean obviously everyone knows how much I like Trey Burke, but he is simply out of our range now. I could definitely palate CJ though. I wonder how he compares to Jrue Holiday

Honestly, this draft to me is a disappointment if we don't somehow address our PG issue. Draft Burke. If that fails, draft CJ. Even draft Bongo if need be. But for the love of God, don't draft some euro-stiff, and sign Mo Williams to a 5 year contract.

I agree.. from an excitement standpoint, at least.

As I always say, I hate comps, but .. that's not that bad, imo.

Jrue was a stud in his senior year in high school, and he never really played much in college (played SG in the backcourt with Collison I think) so I think Jrue might have been the better college player had he stayed for longer.

Still, if CJ can become a poor man's Jrue with better shooting but worse athleticism, I mean that aint bad for our team roster as presently-constituted.

I think CJ could be a very strong off-the-ball shooter. I'm not sure if he'll make the transition to PG, but it's worth a shot in this draft.
