Following potential 2013 draftees

I do like Schroeder, but I'd have a hard time passing on Giannis or Isaiah Austin at #14 for him. Those are serious upside picks.

It's going to be interesting to see how the Jazz put their draft board together. I have to think they'd have McCollum ranked higher than Schroeder, in part because McCollum is older and is ready to play now. Schroeder, while a good prospect, isn't so great that you draft him and wait on him for 3 years to develop. Schroeder at @21 would be a no-brainer.

I think this is what my Jazz Big Board would probably look like:

1 Noel
2 McLemore
3 Porter
4 Burke
5 Bennett
6 Oladipo
7 Shabazz
8 Zeller
9 McCollum
10 Austin
11 Adetokunbo
12 Olynyk
13 Schroeder
14 Adams/Gobert/Caldwell-Pope

Switch Bazz and Bennett. Switch Adetokunbo to 12, Schroder to 11, and Olynyk at 13 and it looks pretty good.

No.. don't switch Bazz and Bennett.. that's crazy.

Don't like Caldwell-Pope in the discussion... but very good list Catchall.

Agree. It's as good a list as any I've seen. There's very little difference between many of these players. I think this draft will come down to combining need WITH BPA for many teams. Jaz could go in quite a few directions: we need a 3rd big, a SF and a young PG.

Not sure we should fall head over heels for the German dude compared to what we can get next year and this year with the 21st pick or even the second round pick this year as far as pg talent goes. His shooting scares me and ability to finish. Still would rather get the GF or CJ with 14, and bpa with 21.

Well the thing is though, he Schroeder went head to head against Kasey Hill who some of us had a hard-on over (including me and AlexBurks_PGgods, amongst others). Schroeder is slightly older, but he completely outplayed Hill in this game IMO. Physically Schroeder had a bigger frame, was better defensively, controls the game better and was just more mature out there on the court. They both had pretty similar speed & quickness though it seems. But Hill was quite a bit smaller... I would say Schroeder held his own against Andrew Harrison as well.

Now, Hill is a projected lotto pick next year if I'm not mistaken in a loaded draft? So if we can get Schroeder at #14 in this much weaker draft I think it would be a bargain. Granted, we're taking on a bit of a project, but early signs are there that he could be a legit talent.
