In regards to comparisons to Beasley/Williams/Robinson:
-Beasley was crazy and/or retarded
-Williams really isn't that impressive an athlete or skill player. His strength was knowing his spots and imposing his will and intellect on the COLLEGE game. His production was enticing, but I always had my questions. He might turn it around but we'll see.
-I never saw any real skill to Robinson. I still haven't.

Bennett to me is better than those prospects. I think he plays tougher than Williams and is considerably more athletic, and his size disadvantage as a 4 might make the idea of him playing some 3 more realistic. But I feel that face-up/stretch/perimeter 4s have a greater advantage over power 3s.

My only point in mentioning Derrick Williams and TRob is that both went top 5. Their lack of performance might hurt Bennett's stock as has been mentioned.

Given how the season is playing out though, where would you guys rank Bennett vis a vis Poythress ?
 
Trying to slog through this thread before it reaches page 400...

Bennett plays like an undersized Z-Bo IMO. Do you guys really think he has much better handles than Millsap? That's what it'd take for him to make it at the next level.

Looks to have better handles, touch, and skill than Millsap and hes only 18 years old. I like him a lot.
 
He's stronger than DWilliams and Robinson, much more skilled than them, and more athletic. Whats not to like about him. I think he looks skilled enough right now that he will be able to work himself into a 3 in the NBA.
