You caught the post with Saturday's games, right? Wiggins vs. Parker? Wow! (Parker is more refined at the moment .. with Wiggins having far more athleticism/upside)

Not sure why you're incessant on pushing this kid. He's okay, and maybe a decent pickup mid-2nd round, but I don't see him doing much in the NBA. You a card fan?

If we are going to get a big in the second round then he had better be pure energy. That is what I am looking for in a second rounder.
 
Marcus Smart seems to be a interesting late first round prospect. Yes he isn't exactly a point guard. But if we are playing Smart, Burks and Hayward I think we have enough creators on offense.

Previously unknown to us heading into the event, Marcus Smart had a strong week here in Chicago, and looks like a great get for Travis Ford at Oklahoma State.

Undersized for a shooting guard at around 6-3, but with a chiseled frame, long arms and solid athleticism, Smart is surely big enough to be effective at the college level, but may give some scouts pause with his lack of size.

Smart makes up for that with what appears to be great versatility on both ends of the floor, as well as a winning spirit and a real competitive streak.

Offensively, Smart shows the ability to make shots both with his feet set and off the dribble, from the 3-point line as well as in the mid-range area. He's at his best using his superior strength to overpower opponents en route to the basket, though, finishing through contact and drawing plenty of fouls in the process.

Smart is also extremely effective on defense, playing with a real chip on his shoulder here and being very effective with his combination of length and aggressiveness.

A good, but not elite athlete, it will be very interesting to see how the different parts of Smart's game translate to the college level. He's a surprisingly complete player for his age, and is known as a great leader and a winner on every stage he's played at. While he's unlikely to become a full-time point guard, it may not be a surprise to see him take on more of a combo guard role in college, as he clearly has the basketball IQ and unselfishness to do so, which would likely improve his NBA prospects considerably.

Shabazz had a relatively quiet game last night with 16 points. In his previous 5 games, he was averaging 23 PPG. It's so frustrating watching UCLA, you just know Shabazz isn't being showcased there as well as he should. They don't run like they should, and I can't tell you how many possessions there are where Shabazz doesn't even touch the ball. Mind boggling.

Hoopshype has updated their mock draft. There are some movers and losers. I think the top of the draft isn't as bad as some people are saying. As it stands the Jazz may have a shot at MCW, Smart or CJ at the PG position. What do you guys think of the updated mock draft?

I actually think that mock is pretty good. It's good to see a mock with Burke in the lottery. DX still has him at 20, which seems unwarranted considering his big time numbers and leading his team to an undefeated season, thus far.

This would also be a good time to give a shout out to Dal for creating the Trey Burke bandwagon. We miss you, man.
