I was more referring to the fact that even a pass first PG who leads the league in the most assists of all time (and won't ever be broken IMO), can shoot it when he's called upon. That's all I was saying.

Stockton could do more than "shoot when called upon" he shot 38% from deep for his entire career (which was long as ****, as well all know). He is probably top 10 all time best shooting PG's.

The point though, is he doesn't look to shoot it. He looks to pass it. No doubt he's a very good shooter. "Shoot when called upon" has nothing to do with how well he shoots, it's do you plan to shoot it, or pass it, or make plays. He definitely looks to pass it or make plays. Shooting is the last option most of the time (i.e., he's got most assists of all time, not most points).
