Following potential 2013 draftees

I like McLemore, I just think it would be silly to pick a SG in the top 3 that can't consistently create his own shot.

Just saying Bennett is a 3/4 .. not a 2/3, is all.

ah okies, like i said im not that hung up on actual listed positions.

i find it peculiar these days when a player has an obvious defined position. i think that works in the favor of lets say otto porter, and conversely works against McLemore.

Bennett fits as the biggest guy in a wing rotation, and the smallest guy in a big-man rotation. i think we can all agree on that

Agree with all of this post, actually. I just too often see people take it too far to the extreme..

Drafting a SG who can't make his own offense #1 overall? Dumb ****.

Conversely, he can score all of his points strictly opportunistically (doesn't need to burn team possessions) and can completely grind down anyone defensively on the perimeter. If his shot doesn't translate and if he doesn't sustain some kind of career-threatening injury, he will be The Monopoly Guy's Ronnie Brewer at least. Ron Artest without the bull ****.

ive been known to take things well past the extreme, infact, most of this captain morgan's is already gone and the game hasn't even started.

i dont want to flood posts while im drunk, but i want to ask you one question though pkm.

Karl Towns Jr vs. Isaiah Austin. i understand fully that towns is the better prospect... every piece of footage ive seen is jaw-dropping. im under the assumption that towns is an obvious #1 overall pick

just wondering how you view this comparison, and im aware of the gap in passing abilities and whats said of Austin and his demeanor, ive listened to both of them speak, extensively.

im really intrigued of your opinion when you look at it, just on an athletecism/skill/potential basis what you see.

Interesting. Very, actually.

Towns is still VERY young. I moved up a class in order to come in to college two years from now .. that is yoooooooouung...

Having said that, the guys is filled out, 7', and understands the game really well.

I'm afraid Austin won't add enough bulk. Love his shot (especially midrange/18'ers) and his ball handling ability. I've never seen anything that screams he's going to be "GOOD", but I'm sure he'll be a very nice player. Towns should be special, but I think it's too early to tell (though he can dribble either hand, shoot either hand, and has range).

Sorry, I know I didn't say much. I'm just not seeing the 'it' factor in Austin (I know you do), but am anxious to see how he develops and strengthens.

TY for the honesty. i forget about that he can shoot with both hands, basketball is going to be amazing for the next few years. id just like to point out its almost exactly a 2 year age difference(and maybe 2" height dif), you gotta reach out of the class for comparisons with these dirk types.

im not sure Isaiah definitely has 'it' either, but i have always thought he does, and as time passes from when i first picked him up on my radar, he continues to exceed my expectations(not by leaps and bounds, but consistently out-performs what i think hes gonna do.. which is how i prefer my bigs to improve...)

back when i made my first post on my initial account pootie tang, it was about Austin and a list of this years C's, before CBB started, if i told you guys then hed lead the SEC in rebs, youd have called me crazy and made skinny jokes. (i didnt think he could do it either)

i think karl towns might have a defined position at 4, and be like the kevin durant of playing 4.. isaiah's got no defined position certainly, which intrigues me. if lets say Isaiah were to define himself as a 4, and show consistent marginal improvement in that skillset, hes going to be an UNREAL matchup nightmare, the type that no team really has an answer for. If he defines his role at 5 thats a whole different story, hes gotta put on weight.

i love the troika of (Favors - Kanter - Austin) i think they would have great synergies in a rotation. thats the extent of my Austin hysteria. I do believe trading up for him is the best thing we can do in this draft. and im hopeful we do it, i watched my knicks draft Gallinari and andy rautins when our head coach(D'Antoni) was best friends with their fathers... Ty Corbin is Isaiah Austin's god-father, maybe its not that farfetched.

Nice post. But I don't see the Jazz packaging picks to move up to grab a big. Nope.
