I don't know how someone couldn't be excited if a talent like Shabazz fell to us. He's got his problems, but man, falling out of the top 10 in a ridiculously weak draft would just be crazy.
MCW ballin' late for Syracuse...
DraftExpress may have Burke at #10 but that doesn't mean somebody picking at #10 will pick Burke. Guys, there are only 2 teams in the lottery picking before us that don't already have a future/legit PG: Orlando and Dallas (3 teams if you count Detroit, but they already have Knight and also tied up to Stuckey, not to mention they can re-sign Calderon). Moreover, Dallas can re-sign Collison who has been playing pretty solid of late.
- So there's Orlando, Detroit, and Dallas before us.
- Orlando is sitting 2nd at the moment, and I think they'd rather go with Noel, Bazz or McLemore
- Detroit is sitting at #6 - Burke would definitely be a stretch there. They may pick Smart here though if he drops.
- Dallas is sitting at #13, but as Cy keeps reminding us, they need help everywhere, and Collison seems OK for now.
#10, #11, #12 are Philly, OKC and Portland. All of which already have legit PG talent.
In conclusion even though Burke is currently ranked #10, it's likely he'll fall further as teams picking there already have young PG talents.
Um, please read the top of the page for the 2013 draft on draftexpress. It clearly indicates that ream needs have NOT been taken into account yet.
Hellz no to MCW
I think OKC goes big in the draft unless someone major slips. This is their last chance to add a lotto talent, and it would make sense to get a center in this draft.
Hellz no to MCW
