What's the deal with the jazz having the 16th pick in the 2end round? Shouldn't they have the 14th just like in the first round? What the hell!!!!!!!

It has the Jazz drafting two big men and a SG. That makes a lot of sense for this team. NOT!

I don't think they are doing the mock yet according to who they think the teams will pick, but is more of a player ranking

The Jazz scouts rocked it that year. Next three after koufus-

1) Ibaka
2) Batum
3) George Hill

Leave it to the pros.....they know what they are doing.

Wow! A three man rotation of Favors Kanter and Ibaka would be something to behold.

We've been complete **** at the PG spot for two seasons now. The time has come to get an impact player at the position. That's really my only goal for the offseason - just get your franchise PG, whoever you think that might be - Burke, McCollum, Schroder, Bledsoe, Teague, etc.

We have two first-round picks, two expiring bigs with good S&T potential, and a lot of cap room. If we enter 2013-2014 without our PG of the future on the roster, that's a huge fail.

I agree we need a PG now, but I dont think that he is in this draft. That is why I advocate taking BPA and working on a deal to bring us the young PG we covet. Think Houston. They compiled assests and landed a top 10 player. We should be thinking the same way.

As far as I know, I'm the only guy to advocate drafting 2 PGs. I've been mocked and/or ignored for that position (which I still hold; see sig).

Dang, the Jazz with either Ibaka or Batum and Dragic would be epic right now. Batum and Dragic especially would fit perfectly with this team we have right now.

On second thought.. what I said applies, regardless. I always believe in BPA with the tie-breaker being team need.. but this year just feels like this big collective hodgepodge of suckage.

That's my philosophy.
And in what I - and most people - believe is a weak draft, the Jazz need to have the philosophy of getting players who will be productive. The likelihood of finding starters or even a great 6th man is remote. Go the Millsap route - get players who have shown a marketable NBA skill or who have been effective in college. If one of them eventually turns into a Millsap, then fantastic. If not, the Jazz will have players who can get spot minutes (like a Jeremy Evans) and are on cheap contracts.

I've said a few times that the Jazz need to work on a core 8: 3-4 guards and 3-4 forwards/centers. A couple of those will be swing players (like a Burks or Favors or Hayward who can play multiple positions). We have 4 core players. I think the Jazz can afford to sign or trade for another 2 significant veterans. That leaves Utah needing to find 2 good rookies between this draft and next.

I try to stay optomistic about the Jazz, but I have a real hard time understanding what this team has done in the draft in almost every year since 1986. I have a real hope that Dennis Lindsey will change that. It is that hope that burns in my soul like a small blue flame pushing back the darkness that would consume my Jazz fanness.

After all, Lindsey came from Houston and San Antonio--two teams that have had much more success in the draft than the Jazz, and have made smarter decisions on players than the Jazz. There is hope. There has to be because I don't want to consider the alternative.

I'm not that big on Karasev, but I'm sure I'd find a way to get happy about it.

Lets be honest...whoever we draft, we're all going to convince ourselves it was the right choice. Hell, people on here were convinced that Murphy was going to be a valuable piece of our rotation throughout the year.
