Following potential 2013 draftees

Sounds like Alex Kennedy is prepping to become an agent.

Exciting time for the Jazz's scouting brain-trust though. Will have to figure out if there's any one of a quite varied cast of potential PGs, all of whom seem to have some major flaws, who they think can turn into at least a solid starter in the league. And if there is that guy (and there may not be that guy) -- how to get him? The likelihood of finding that guy at 14 and beyond is not high (though it certainly is better than a longshot).

Interesting take.

It's intriguing to me how there are 30 teams in the NBA, and with all the players in the world available to choose from, Jazz can't fine a solid young & reliable starting PG.

If I someday got married to a girl with good athletic genes/pedigree, I'd teach my boy to play the PG position.

I actually think Wolters will go early 2nd.

Probably. I currently have him going third in the second to Cleveland. Rockets could also take him with the fourth pick and if the Thunder don't get a PG in the first round, (I currently have them snagging MCW) they could take him with the second pick.

Other than Kabongo, I don't really feel there's a better PG prospect than Wolters in the second round.

Caldwell-Pope is definitely a better prospect than Karasev. I'd argue he's borderline lottery pick this year seeing how thin the talent is there. He can stroke the 3pt the same way Karasev can, but he's much more athletic.

I disagree. KCP is for sure a borderline lottery pick and has a higher ceiling, but I think Karasev is the better player right now and still has room to grow. I can see him sneaking his way into the lottery during workouts, and with a team like Minnesota in need of a perimeter threat they'd definitely look at Karasev. He's a lot longer, better defensive potential, and a better 3 point shooter.

I can see the Grizz going for him as well.

I was never big on kabongo at Findlay and thought he was just alot of hype, but he certainly is a 1st round pick. These mock drafts will miss on this one.

Agree. I've said the same going back to the beginnings of the 2012 thread. Hated him in the top 10, like him in the 20's.. love him in the 2nd.

See him going 22 - 25.
