Following potential 2013 draftees

MCW or Schroeder - take whoever's available, I'd be happy with either. They're both above average passers. MCW beats you with length, gives you defense with his long arms. Schroeder beats you with speed, gives you defense with his quick feet. They're both young and hungry.

I'm sure either one will be a significant upgrade to Mo/Earl/Tins.

Anyone who doesn't pull up for a jumper on a fast break with nobody from our team under the basket is an upgrade over Mo.

Is it just me or does it seem like kkk thinks this is a deep draft. He has the feel of a kid in a candy store.

Me, I'm sooooo bitter. Why in the hell can't we have two firsts in a deep draft? I've decided I'm on strike. Trade both picks this year for an unprotected pick next year. Who's with me?

I'd hate to have a top 3 pick this year but looking bright side there are some players I'm intrigued by where we're picking. What little I've seen of Schroeder has my attention. Same with CJ. But I know little. Ignorance makes the heart grow fonder.

When mired in mediocrity, I want change. I want change for the sake of change.. even if it ultimately proves not an upgrade. I just tire of expecting better results from the same personnel and plan.

That's good enough.

PKM this is how i am looking at this draft.

1st draft some one that can maybe become a full time starter.
2nd a valuable role player
3rd some one that will be a legit back up in the NBA.

That is what i want. If the picks can become one of those it is a win.

Most value we can get out of this draft is to use these picks to get another pick next year, and draft Canaan in the second round.

I like that. You don't lock in on a specific player and therefore avoid the awkwardness of booing the newest Jazz Man because you really wanted someone else. What a terrible way for a player to be introduced to the fans of his new team.

Ever since the 2009 draft I have been trying to look at the draft differently so that I can cheer for my team and welcome the new player. I think your strategy is brilliant.

I'm fine with trading out if this draft in order to get an extra next year, but so are most teams. This is a buyer's market in that regard.

Also in the topic of Goodwin, Michael Beasley is more talented and more of a mismatch threat and he can't stick because he plays like a dumbass. I see more Beasley in Goodwin than I see Wade.

But then again, in this junk draft, at 21? Maybe. I can think of a few players off the top of my head that I'd rather have (there, or anywhere [Reggie Bullock, even]).

He's not a dumbass like Beasley.. he just over-penetrates and tries too hard. I've been hard on him but he is only a freshman.. not ready to doom him forever.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand so was Beasley. The story isn't written, but you have to be concerned with stupid play. Especially if Cal is as good of a coach as he's supposed to be.

Do you have ANY info one way or another as to if Cal didn't want Archie back?
