Following potential 2013 draftees

Chad Ford's updated big Board:

1. Noel
2. McLemore
3. Porter
4. Bennett
5. Burke
6. Oladipo
7. Len
8. McCollum
9. MCW
10. Bazz
11. Zeller
12. Saric
13. Olynyk
14. Caldwell-Pope

21. Allen Crabbe
22. Larkin
24. Schroeder
25. Karasev
26. Goodwin
28. Adetukunbo

Pretty happy seeing Schroeder down so low - meaning we might have a better chance at grabbing him. Or may be teams have playing cards close to their chest right now. He should rise quickly closer to the draft ala Biyombo when workouts start proper.

like the idea of schöder and Kasarev draft with wolters and carmichael in the second. (yes I know we get another late first from a tapped team)

FA or trade, schöder, wolters
burks, karasev
Carroll, Hayward
kanter, carmichael
favors, tomic, Aldrich

I can live with that team, would even consider tyreke Evans at pg but would want Bledsoe.

I think if we've got Schroeder, we go with him as our future PG. Getting Bledsoe & Tyreke in would just mess up that plan.

Except Ford isn't very good at this.

Saric being so high up on Chad's board is puzzling to me. I wonder what he's hearing from scouts, etc.

Saric is the No. 1 ranked international player on our Big Board, and after spending a few weeks overseas chatting with international scouts, it's clear to me that they too believe he has the most talent of any international player in the draft (and as much potential to be a special NBA player as anyone, American or international).

Whether Saric can reach his potential is the key. While at times he can look brilliant, other times he struggles. He's been excellent in the recent Croatian playoffs, averaging 15.1 points on 67 percent shooting to go with 7.4 rebounds. While the Mavericks look like the most obvious choice for him in the lottery, don't count out the Pelicans or 76ers as lottery destinations.
