Yeah I'm not necessarily a proponent of Gogurt (Gobert) - just voicing why people might be intrigued by him. It doesn't necessarily mean anything but I readily admit his standing reach/wingspan is eye catching. But I don't claim to know anything. I said Adams or Withey may actually be better.
I'm not really falling in love with anyone in this draft - just looking at who MIGHT be good based on very little info. I'm one of those who would've missed on Hayward and was bellyaching over the Jazz selecting him. But I was wrong. I, like many of you, just hope the Jazz people that evaluate talent hit pay-dirt. Hopefully with all 3 picks.

I'm picturing Giannis and Favors running pick and roll and it's getting me excited. Plus everyone on the floor is 6'9" except the PG.
With Giannis, I don't expect him to be Kevin Durant, but I do think he'll be like Michael Finley. The passing is a bonus. I think you can justify taking him at 14.
I think he'll still be there at #21. He's too much of a project especially if he couldn't come to the Combine. Teams with only 1 pick are taking a BIG risk picking him before #21 IMO.
Fingers crossed, but I think Schroeder should be there at #14 and Giannis should be there at #21.

I like what I see out of Giannis but I would like a Schroe/Karasev draft more.
Yeah if you wanna play it safe.. i just think you can always find a shooter in this league (unless you're truly elite like Curry).
Giannis has tremendous upside for a 21 pick it's only cos he's playing in the wilderness that his stock is so low IMO.

I don't think Giannis has extraordinary upside, and I don't think he has that much risk either. He just hasn't been that well known given that he's playing in Greece.
I'm looking at size, position and the kind of impact he should have in the league. He'll be a 6'9" guy who can handle, drive and shoot. Good athlete who can play either wing position. I can't think of a perfect comp for him at the moment.
He seems like "Durant extremely-lite", without the dunking & shooting.
