Following potential 2014 draftees

Is Caris Levert a better long term prospect than Stauskas? At about 6'7" with a near 7' wingspan he could be a Jamal Crawford type player. His ball handling skills are pretty good for a 19 year old. His 3PT% has snuck up over 40%, and is a solid free throw shooter at 81%. Perhaps worth taking with our 2nd rounder if he declares.

But in this draft there is little difference between 8 and 20

I think the Jazz try to trade up with their picks. Probably can't do it, but maybe the #8 and #23 (if that's where the picks fall) to get the player at #5 or #6 that they really want. There is zero chance at trading into the top-3 and it likely costs too much to get to #4 or even #5. But you never know.

I agree that McDermott goes in the lottery. There's a serious shortage of 3 point shooters in the league(Not guys trying, but guys making them). The prolonged success of guys like Ryan Anderson, Kyle Korver really turns heads around of how to construct a healthy balanced roster. So he'll be in high demand as he can provide so much space for a pick and roll ball handler who's good at finishing.

Walter Tavares is probably going to move up to the 1st round hes 7'3, 265lbs with a wingspan of 7'9 only been playing basketball for 4½ years is coordinated and can run. im all for drafting him also an 80% free throw shooter

Gobert with weight? Better put him on the radar.

But does he play football?
No idea who this Gottlieb guy is, but here's his quote:

"In terms of reminding me of someone, I think he's closest to Matt Harpring, who averaged a solid 11 points and five boards over 11 NBA seasons. Harpring was tough as heck and contributed to a couple of Jazz teams that made deep playoff runs, but keep in mind that it took a year or two to find his role and adjust to the NBA.

McDermott is close with former Creighton star Kyle Korver, a guy who keeps working and who understands the role acceptance it takes to last for a decade in the NBA and be productive. Korver has been a starter for the past two years on playoff-caliber Atlanta Hawks teams.
