Following potential 2015 draftees

My rule of thumb is u don't trade up for a guy over seas. They are too much of a crap shoot. Porz could easily bust hard

I don't think Porzingis busts. He's a good athlete, very mobile. He can really shoot. Maybe he's not a great rebounder and gets taken off the dribble by smaller players, but he's at least as good as Mirotic, worst case.

For me, if Porzingis is slipping and is there at 8 I'd trade 12 and Hood. You know what they say, go big or go home. Roll the dice like the Jazz did with Exum.

I don't think he does. . . but let's say Porzingis does fall to 8? The Jazz have more than enough assets to make a move to jump up and get him if they want - without including Hood. The Jazz have 17 picks in the next 4 drafts. Give them #12, Burke (who has more value than fans believe) and a couple of those future picks. That's a good deal to move up 4 spots. If the Jazz decision makers think he'll develop into the kind of player they're hoping for. . . it's worth it to be aggressive.

Porz could easily be the best player in this draft.

Yuck!!! How many sure fire studs from Europe or other countries have there been only to see these guys bust. Not many have worked out. Porz may not bust. It however still doesn't mean he'll end up good enough to squander assets on.

Well, you'd have to bribe the other team. If they think they can get Hood + Turner, that might make them pass on Hezonja. I don't think a team would pass on him for much less tbh.

If they pass on future picks for a rebuilding team than you stand pat or trade back. No sense in over paying when you are speculating. No way would I sell Hood to move up 5 spots.

I don't think we are willing to give up the assets needed to move up to 6 or 7.

If we move up I think it would be to 9.

#12 + 2017 GSW first rounder + 2018 OKC first rounder for #9.

We then get our choice of Johnson, Turner, Oubre or maybe someone in the top-8 fall like Winslow or WCS.

Charlotte wants Devin Booker or R.J. Hunter, they might take Booker at 9, but they are interested in trading down a bit and take Hunter.

I'm pretty sure Hunter will be there at 12.

I'm sorry but I'm not trading Hood for anyone that's not a sure thing. Porz isn't a sure thing. No euro is.

Hood could end up being an elite shooter in this league who can do so much more and is also looking like he will be a two way player

I mean, if that's what it takes then yeah, let's go for it. We can't be sittin' at the same spot most the time, hoping a great player would magically fall down to us. The Jazz better man up and start making a move (Porz or Hezonja) or whoever to improve this team this year. It's our time to shine next season.

Which is why I'm on record saying we shouldn't trade up using players.

This is definitely the draft trade down in in my opinion. Pick up assets for a draft where it would help more to trade up. In the mean time develop our current talent. I know it's not the sexy move, but let's try to not be the Knicks or Kings
