Following potential 2015 draftees

I've seen Booker try to create space late in the shot clock and he seems to really struggle doing so. If he can't get by college guys, he's gonna have a hard time getting by pro players. You say he can create his own shot, but his tape shows that he can't yet. I'm sure you know some guys, but for now, I'm going by the tape.
I liked your post because I think it's fair. But if you break down Devin's shots as catch and shoot, early in the shot clock, and late.. he is very good earlier in the shot clock creating his shot. His poor late in the clock shot creation is due to his teammates getting it to him with >5sec left and the D knowing he can shoot it.

I understand getting it late in the shot clock is very difficult, but with as tight as defenders play him on the perimeter, he should be better at creating some space for a midrange shot. Jab step, dribble shoot or step back off the jab to get space. He's shown glimpses of it, but by no means is he a consistent shot creator for himself, IMO.

I guess I should remind everyone that booker will be the youngest player in the draft. not turning 19 until like October or something.

I will remind people that he is from Mississippi and that people from Mississippi are 1000x more baws than people from any other state.

Maybe he is not as good as wanted, but he is pretty dang good with all the moves you mentioned above..
the majority of his shots are coming off of a hand in his face. his jab step, cross over, and step back seem to be ahead of his time.

How would you rate Booker compared to Stauskas in their first years and projecting for the future? I haven't watched Booker enough to know if they were/are comparable players, but it seems like Stauskas was more of a creator since he was asked to do more, and a better rebounder. Their physical measurements are nearly identical (Stauskas 0.25inch taller, 1.5inch longer wingspan, 2inch longer standing reach, 1 pound heavier, 2 inch shorter no-step vert, identical 35.5inch vert per draftexpress).

Their freshman year stats are also extremely similar (Stauskas 0.2 more PPG, 1.4 more RPG, exact same APG, 0.1 more SPG)

I like stauskas but I think booker has a purer shot and a higher ceiling.

of course I would trade kanter for stauskas straight up.
