I think he was considered really raw. I don't think he even played much in college iirc.

And I think he didn't have a true position?

Paul George was picked based on his athleticism & defense, no? His shooting was improved in the NBA, iirc. Elfrid Payton and Lavine were not picked for their shooting ability. Olynyk picked for his shooting but isn't a starting PF material... Adams picked for his athleticism & rebounding and is doing well.

George was no good defender in college. In fact his body suggested defensive potential, he had no interest to explore that at the time.
He was an unfinished product with a wide margin between his floor and ceiling.

Also wouldn't you say if you can jump out of the gym, that finishing a 1-0 fastbreak and attacking the basket every now and then finishing over the Kanters of the NBA is a lot easier and will lead to more highlights/points than trying to utilize your Korver abilities as a rookie, when coach may be like: Yo Rook until you get acclimatized, I want you to stay in the strong corner.
This **** takes time to unfold.

Also never try to label first year players busts after 70 games against grown *** men competition.

Now DX tells me he's on pace for 1.5 assist per 40 min. which ranks him LAST among DX Top 100 SFs.

Well if I was The Poster previously known as KKK I'd say the following: If you wear a tattoo, it's for everybody else to read. It's a reminder for his teammates to sacrifice scoring opportunities for him.
But I'm definitely not the poster previously known as kkk. So I won't say that.

My irrational prospect fling so far this year is Porzingis btw.

That sounds suspicious...
 
Interesting that Looney rates out so high on his ewp projections. The ewp is his rating, humble is from all other prognosticators, and his final rating is the average of both. Based on his rating looney is the sixth best guy and an all star.
