Following potential 2015 draftees

Both DX and Chad Ford think Myles Turner and Kelly Oubre are slated in the 10 - 13 range. Assume the Jazz will take a long look at both those guys.

Apart from his potential long term health issues, I really like Myles Turner.

- I like the fact also that he knows his strength (long, but less athletic), and he's modelling his game after the former Longhorns, LaMarcus Aldridge - focussing on the face up game, flashing to the high post and hitting that jumper over smaller defenders. You don't actually have to be elite athletically when you've got that long game.

- Great defender one of the best shot blockers in college. Should fit right in with Favors & Gobert.

- Legit 7 footer.

- Already has a 3pt range.

- He also has the right character for our group - he nearly brought me to tears with that segment about his 'sister'. I think he will fit right in our humble group.

I really like him for our pick if his knees or whatever issues he has with running checks out.

17-62 from three this year, 27.4%..

For a PF that's not too shabby. Plus he should improve on that in Quin's system with more spacing & encouragement.

Also look at his FT percentage - 84%. That tells me he has good mechanics & soft touch.

I agree, it's not the best, but hey Booker developed a three-point shot this year after going 1-10 in his four years before Utah.

Exactly.

Obviously Quin is even encouraging Favors to shoot it next year too. Turner already has that shot, he just needs to improve upon it. Obviously not thing is guaranteed, but it will be less difficult a transition.

I keep going in circles. I wish we were picking a bit earlier. I think Oubre is a good pick. I also think the Jazz would be the 'right situation' for Portis or Lyles. Looney is also reasonable, but might not be available.
