Following potential 2015 draftees

The thing that both worries and intrigues me about Oubre is his limitations seem to be due to Bill Self keeping a short leash on him. On the one hand, is Oubre a head case? On the other, this is Bill Self, the guy who produced Thomas Robinson and nearly ruined Wiggins' draft stock.

I like Oubre's potential but it has been noted (in HS, that is) that he has to be pushed to get better rather than an internal burning desire. Also a tad tough to coach at times. He is at the bottom of my list of those in range that I am interested in.

Kentucky was down 7 last night with 4:00 to go and Kat took over the game on both sides. Complete and utter domination. We went from 7 down to an 8 point victory and he was unstoppable with sky hooks with both hands, elite passing, ft's, and owned the paint on the defensive end. Beast.

I think it's not Self who made Wiggins look bad. Self's system didn't help for sure. But with their personnel it was hard to get open lanes that would have allowed Wiggins to play to his strengths with his limited ball handling ability.

It was more like Wiggins took a sabbatical preemptively knowing he'd go top3 anyways as long as he'd show sparks. Tanking his draftstock also meant less chance to land in a super tankapalooza situation.

It's college basketball that didn't let Wiggins look as good. Stop blaming Self, his job isn't to send players to the NBA, it's to win college games.
 
If we can't get my man Stan Johnson I want WCS more than anything. I swear he could play the god damn 3 if we needed him to. We would have trouble scoring but my god I bet we'd hold opponents to like 50 ppg.

I was a doubter when I watched his HS videos. He beefed up and is playing awesome though. Still would like him to improve his athleticism but his skill level is off the charts.

His athleticism isn't elite for sure, but it is far from inadequate..
