Following potential 2015 draftees

Well Howard, welcome! And if you're someone's alt, welcome just the same.

I think teams at the top of the draft are looking for talent that can't be gotten any other way, but through the draft.

I'm questioning whether guys like Johnson or Winslow are really different and better than talent that's available later in the draft and around the league. For example, are these guys really better than James Young who went mid-1st round last year? Or Harrison Barnes, who has been disappointing. Or even a role player like Demarre Carroll or James Johnson?

I'm not saying these guys don't have value. But why should they get drafted ahead of guys like Porzingis, Turner, Hezonja and others who have elite potential? How much room do they really have to improve if the quickness, explosiveness and shooting touch aren't there?

So I could see Johnson dropping to the 8-10 range and Winslow going late lottery.

I get what you're saying, but then again you know what you're gonna get from guys like Johnson and Winslow. Porzingis and Turner are definitely high risk / high reward type picks.

Would you rather kill all of your families pets or watch an entire Utah basketball game?
If I have to kill then all then I will watch the game.

But I will miss the game if I only have to kill a couple

I look at Turner and I see as much talent as Alex Len and Hassan Whitside had. He just needs a couple years of physical development. His mobility is getting better.

With Porzingis, it's really just a question of adding strength.

ok let me chime in here

1st - vezenkov has an elite talent in shooting. he is extremely vertically challenged. if korver can make it in the nba vezenkov can. I think a stretchy 4 is ok but if he wants to survive in the nba he will have to transform himself into a 3. he plays with a lot passion and I like that. seems to have a good motor also. I like him a lot in the second round. perfect draft and stash player.

2nd - Johnson has a chance to slip because of his athletism. his stats seems to be coming back to earth lately. the one thing Winslow has going for him is nba athletism.

3rd - hezonja is one the best offensive talents in the draft. the big question marks are attitude issues and defense. I think he would fit great in Utah.

4th - Russell is ball dominate at osu and may not be that in the nba. he will go top 4 I guarantee it.

5th - a lot of things are going to change this month with march madness. not to mention measurements will be huge for players closely compared.
