It seems to me Tomic is also a candidate to be traded. He's one of the top centers in Europe, if not the top right now. He wants to play in the league, but backing up Gobert might not be ideal for him. I feel like he could factor into a trade this off-season. A few teams drafting ahead of us would do well to pick him up.

Tomic + 12 + 2nd-rd pick should move us up to 8 at least.

Plus, we still have Pleiss.

I doubt that'd work. It will have to include another first rounder.

These guys develop and get stronger and faster. Russell's only knock is he is a little slow and not a big leaper. He's such a good shooter passer and creator though. Put him with some good bigs in a PnR and it will be ugly. The nba game also creates a better balanced floor which will open more driving lanes for him.

Is Steph Curry explosive? Kyrie Irving? Steve Nash? Russell is a good-enough athlete.
 
For as good as Russell is, he's not that great at getting to the rim. That's his main weakness, IMO.

Harden conquered that by adding a dominant Eurostep, and the ability to get a ton of foul calls. Whether Russell can do that or not is a big question mark. He's a good shooter, has good passing vision, but if he can't get to the hoop, that diminishes his value a lot.
