Following potential 2015 draftees

Also, individual workouts are completely overrated by fans in general. If you're drafting someone based on a single showing instead of body of work, you shouldn't be working in the NBA.

Yup. But they can sometimes help a team decide between a couple of guys who are otherwise evenly rated.

Absolutely, but Utah will never pass on a guy just because he doesn't work out for us. It's hard enough to build a team without handcuffing yourself unnecessarily. We would be limiting ourselves in a big way if we only drafted players who prefer Utah. That really can't be overstated.

DL on 1280:

-he'd rather like have free agency before the draft
-they really like all our young players and it wouldn't be surprising if we stayed pat this off-season
-THRILLED(repeated and stressed a couple of times this word) with how Dante is progressing and working this off-season and his openness to take in advice and direction from coaching staff
-we'd be remiss if we didn't explore possibilities of signing a great free agent(they were alluding to Millsap)

Did they even get an interview with Kaminsky though? Those are usually the most impertinent.

Givony really likes Kaminsky's fit for today's NBA and thinks Looney suffers from over-analysis ala Gobert last year, and could be a steal this year.

He also thinks RHJ could be a solid player that may outperform his draft spot.

Boy, does Locke sound like a real n00b talking to Givony. Givony giving him a lesson in how the NBA draft operates in this podcast.

I listened to the Johnathon Givony podcast with David Locke. Here are a few tidbits I picked up:

- Givony thinks Towns is hands-down the top talent in the draft. Thinks he's a multiple-time All Star. Was blown away seeing Towns work out.
- Givony thinks Okafor is the 2nd-best talent in the draft who is perhaps getting over analyzed.
- Givony thinks Hezonja is the 3rd-best talent in the draft, thinks he would blow people away in a workout like Porzingis did.
- Givony thinks Russell will likely go ahead of Mudiay, just given the way the league is heading
- Givony thinks that Mudiay *shouldn't* fall below Denver at 7, assuming he slips a bit.
- Givony thinks that both Kaminsky and Looney are a bit underrated given where they're being mocked currently.

Locke asked Givony to compare players for the Jazz in a "tournament" format.

Round 1:
Lyles v. Tuner: Givony picked Turner
Portis v. Kaminsky: Givony picked Kaminsky
Oubre v. Booker: Givony picked Oubre
Johnson v. Dekker: Givony picked Johnson

Round 2:
Turner v. Kaminsky: Givony picked Kaminsky
Johnson v. Oubre: Givony picked Johnson

Round 3:
Johnson v. Kaminsky: Givony picked Kaminsky

Locke asked Givony to justify Kaminsky. Givony said Kaminsky has the highest pure-point rating (PPR) of any player 6'9" and above. Said that he's a great decision maker and would be a good fit for the Jazz.

with the trade Charlotte just did, I'm thinking they will pick Booker, maybe even Oubre if Johnson and Hezonja are gone.

Looney is pissed he's not in the bracket. Seriously though, we should get Looney if Turner's off the board.

You're right that they now have a lot of bigs---Vonleh, Hawes, Cody Zeller, Biyombo and Jefferson.

Depending on how the draft shakes out, the Jazz are still great candidates to swap picks with.
