Following potential 2015 draftees

Chad Ford came out with a new mock draft this morning..

1. MIN - Towns
2. LAL - Okafor
3. PHI - Porzingis
4. NYK - Russell
5. ORL - Hezonja
6. SAC - Mudiay
7. DEN - Winslow
8. DET - Dekker
9. CHA - Booker
10. MIA - Johnson
11. IND - WCS
12. UTA - Turner
13. PHO - Kaminsky
14. OKC - Payne

- He has now jumped on Porzingis to Philadelphia
- New York gets a steal with Russell
- Hezonja is now in the top-5
- Mudiay falls into Sacramento's lap
- Dekker at #8 to Detroit?
- WCS falls into Indiana's lap
- Turner falls into Utah's lap
- There is no Oubre in the lottery

From his chat this morning as well:
Hezonja goes 5 to Magic, 7 to Denver or 8 to Pistons. If he and Justise Winslow are both off the board (and in my latest mock they are) I'm hearing strongly that the guy the Pistons really like is Wisconsin's Sam Dekker.

And Chad promoted some guy named Portis out of Arkansas as being good for the Jazz.

Interesting to compare Ford to Givony. Iirc ford is down on looney, givony is high. Ford sees Kaminsky as a risk givony sees Frank as a lock.

Also interesting, givony gushed over porzingas with Locke, then went on LAL radio the next day to say porzingas might be a good 3rd or 4th option on a good team, but her lasagna was the second best player in the draft and everyone would be talking about him if he was doing workouts rather than still playing in Spain.

Lol

That's it, his name is now Mario Her Lasagna.

In a field of good wing prospects Sam Dekker is damn mediocre. He'd be a reach at 12.

24.5" no-step vertical is a bit funky.. thats Steve Novak / Julius Hodge / Austin Daye territory.

That number seems like a weird fluke. He looks much more athletic in game film and workout film.

@stevekylerNBA: For those asking - Stanley Johnson has worked out for the Knicks, Nuggets, Pistons, Jazz and heat.

Jazz are pretty secretive. Maybe a secret workout?

The Knicks keep working out guys outside their range--Lyles, Kaminsky, Johnson, etc. Sure looks like they want to trade the pick to move back to the 9 - 12 range. They must have a player they want to trade for.

He might not be a great jumper from stand-still. His max vertical was much better at 34.5''. I don't have much concerns about his athleticism. I actually think he's probably above average athlete for his size.

Givony also was NOT impressed with Lyles and Locke thinks Lyles is going to be a very good player. I see nothing special about Lyles.

Everyone is excited about Oubre's measurables. About the only concern I have on Oubre is his heart. It is hard to measure his "want to"

The thing is Webster was nowhere near the athlete and physical specimen that Oubre is.

I hear everyone repeating this over and over again I just don't see it. Oubre looks like a above-average to good NBA athlete. But he is smaller than Alec Burks, Gordon Hayward and Rodney Hood based on standing reach. He isn't a freak like Westbrook.

JP Tokoto is a superior athlete---who can barely play ball. Really is Oubre that much of better athlete than Burks?

You do God's work.

His heart as in his soul, motivation and drive ?

I worry about whats between his ears. His braggadocio called to mind former Jazz man Kirk Snyder. That didn't end well for Snyder or the Jazz.

Bobby Portis shines again!

"Big men in "Mortal Kombat" during Bucks workout, before Montrezl Harrell suffers ankle sprain. Bobby Portis shines."

Eric Buenning@ericbuenning
"Out of all the draft prospects, I think Bobby Portis checks the most boxes for what the Bucks might be looking for."
