Following potential 2015 draftees

UK will have an advantage against other teams this year having played together in August and Towns getting to go against USA.

Is Karl Towns legit talent? I mean who would you compare him to? Andrew Bynum Lite? If the Jazz can pair a legit low post talent/size like that with Exum, I think it could be well worth tanking for #OneMoreYear.

Sweet. so its Orlando Antigua coaching with Towns and Eloy Vargas. UK is well represented

DR is in group C with the USA, Kevin Love not being on the roster means we may see Anthony Davis vs Karl Towns part 2.

Hes a tough comparison but i dont like Andrew Bynum, You'd have to compare him to a C whos very big(9'6" standing reach) and skilled. Id say hes like a smaller Yao Ming with muuuch better ball-skills, his shooting range is out to nba 3 point distance easily, his hand eye coordination has got to be ridiculous for someone that size/age whom appears to be still growing

Ok didn't know he has 3pt range. You r making him sound like a cant miss prospect. Bynum in his prime was very skilled around the basket and knows how to use his big body.

Legit talent? Yes.
Not Bynum. Bynum is a pure center. Towns has the skills of a SF.. or close. I can't really think of a comparison.. one scout said he could be a bigger Durant. I HATE those type of comps.

You know Antigua left, though, right?
Yes, I am definitely anticipating a Davis/Towns re-showdown. Though Davis has REALLY filled out and honed his game compared to the first matchup. Davis is such a stud.

He shoots it effortlessly.. I've heard from a bulletproof source that Towns in shootarounds is nearly 50% from halfcourt.

He just has more skills out on the floor and shooting touch than most 7 footers. I think he's a PF in the NBA, like, for sure.

He's a good shot blocker but his lateral quickness appears to be fairly average. Main thing is he needs to get stronger and in better shape (endurance).

Yeah, not to be hyper critical but he looks slow, soft and sort of heavy to me. That's to be expected if you're 40 years old but for a kid to look like that worries me from the sense that that player will always be sketchy on the defensive end.

I get that. Allow me to explain.

While his peers hit the AAU circuit and got in game shape, his parents (awesome people, with money, and very smart) decided to hire the best shooting coaches, dribbling instructors (NBA guys), and more skill mentoring, rather than just playing basketball and hitting the aerobic part of the game. They have said to Calipari that they felt this was a good move because it takes a long time to develop skill in relation to getting into great shape. They asked Cal if he would prefer a kid that's in great shape but needs to be taught the skills or the reverse. Cal laughed and said he had actually never thought about it, but said "we'll definitely get him in top physical condition".. and went on to say that while everyone is dribbling and shooting Towns will be running stairs... lol
