What's new

Following potential 2015 draftees

I think some of the details that have been mentioned, more recently about Johnson and Winslow, are sort of minutia. Let's put it in the simplest terms. Who just flat out looks like a great all-around Spurs-type basketball player? Length and athleticism are nice but we need a guy who has a handle, can shoot, pass, and play some d.

I know I fit the mold but I don't want to lose any time with the wife and kids. Hopefully the Jazz find someone though.

Given those criteria, I like Hezonja. I think he's more like Manu than Johnson or Winslow.

I also still like Winslow a bit more than Johnson. I think Winslow is slightly quicker and more explosive.

Again, I'm biased.

The thing that separates them the most for me, is that I think Winslow operates better in s half court offense than Johnson does. I would be happy with either though.

I am liking hezonja a lot too. although I can see d Russ being a great fit too

Based on where I expect the Jazz to be picking, those are easily my two favorite prospects. I lean a little more towards Hezonja, but I'd love to have either of them. Super Mario is going to be a dynamic scorer and D Russ is more mature than I expected he would be at this point. Basically, I think either guy would be a great fit for the Jazz.

I would say Russel's weak side is on defense. I'm also not sure he's going to be strong enough or quick enough to get all the way to the rim in the pros. It looks to me as though he's patterning his game after Steph Curry. He has some of those same strengths and weaknesses.
