Following potential 2015 draftees

I'd rather have Russell than Johnson if we are starting Gobert. We going to need shooters who can space the floor. Also going to need another playmaker if Exum doesn't pan out. Russell Is pretty good Exum insurance since he can be a 2 or 1.

I still don't see why people keep putting WCS in their big boards for the Jazz especially after Rudy looks more and more like a future star. To me he looks absolutely redundant.

The odds of Johnson working as hard on his game as Butler has since he came into the NBA are slim to none doe. Dude has developed at an otherworldly rate. Johnson's got dat much higher base doe.

Butler is not a good comp for Johnson. He plays SG for the Bulls most of the time, and much more athletic than Johnson (nearly hits his head on the rim when dunking)

actually after watching that video you posted I think Russell is the best bet even if exum would become an all star because the jazz offense doesn't need a traditional pg. everyone touches the ball.

with that said I still want johnson

Well... I've given it some thought, and decided my guy is WCS. how amazing would it be to have a rotation of Favors Gobert and Booker, and I think Booker will only get better

After Hezonja, Vezenkov is the second top Euro prospect to suggest he might not be declaring for this draft. When asked about him joining the NBA here's what he said:

"It's a very distant goal. I am not thinking about it right now. I don't even think I'm ready. When I am I will think about it."

I just want them to set the board and draft the best player left. If that's Russell, or Johnson, or WCS, or Porzingis, or Hezonja or Wnslow. . . I don't really care. All of them have strengths. All of them have weaknesses. All of them have the potential to be stars. All of them need coaching and development. Don't reach because of position or perceived needs. Fill those with free agency. Draft and develop is the best plan for the Jazz. If they end up inside that top 10 range, they will get a good player IF they don't reach.

I'm fine with getting WCS, especially if they do something with Kanter. There's few players who can guard bigs and then step out and be proficient defending on the perimeter. It's also the reason that I'd be fine with trying Porzingis at the 3 if they draft him instead of just saying that he's strictly a stretch 4. He looks like he might have enough athleticism to do it. Gobert, Favors, Porzingis, Hayward and Exum. . . essentially the same type of lineup as if Antetokounmpo were drafted instead of Burke.

Go after Gerald Green, Danny Green and/or DeMarre Carroll to round out the wing rotation. If they don't keep Kanter (or if he comes back cheap), I bet one of them could be acquired.

Except the Greek Freak was playing point forward for his team in Europe so he has the ball skill to do it. I'm not sure Porzingis has the handle to dribble and drive and dish, etc.

I can see why people are enamored with WCS. He's a bit like the Andre Drummond of this draft. Stand-out athlete for a guy that size, big impact on the boards and with blocks, raw offensively. The thing working against him, if anything, is that he's a bit older than the freshmen phenoms.
