Agree. BPA is obviously in play, but when ratings are very similar, you go for position of need. And I think in say the 5-8 range or 9-12, rankings will be very similar amongst a group of 4-5 players.

Dirk kinda looks like the outlier of the group tbh. Most of the players outright suck, some are pretty decent, and then there's Dirk. Saying that Porz is gonna be like Dirk is pretty ridiculous iMO, they're not even similar players.

If you are going to put dudes that are not 7 feet tall in there then I think you should include dudes like memo and channing frye.

Good call. Can't believe I forgot Okur. My point still stands.
 
I just played the mock draft from ESPN and the Jazz got the #2 pick and drafted Russell. I also kept playing and it has the Jazz passing on in order:

Kelly Oubre
Mario Hezonja
Stanley Johnson
Justice Winslow
Devin Booker

and instead they have the Jazz drafting Kevon Looney

I played the espn lottery one time, the jazz jumped to #2 and picked some pg named Russell. Ugh, no more overhyped pgs, draft Porzingus!
 
How excited would this board be if we jumped up to #2?

I would be pretty excited if Towns or Oubre fell to us too.

they are not all 40% 3 pt shooters. I have never compared porzingis to dirk
 
In many ways I hate Chad fords simulated draft. It gives false hope to fans, who spin the wheel until they see a result the like, then begin to dream. In reality is there is very little chance for a big jump in the lottery, and the players are so young. (and frankly awful)that actually drafting a player is like a lottery in itself.

I vow, this year I will not prematurely, and irrationally attach my hopes to one of these players until after the Jazz draft him.

A jump happens nearly every year.
