Following potential 2015 draftees

I'm not a big fan of combo forwards... It never works really well. If he is a good three point shooter that would change things. Everyone gets excited about these types and then it end up like theses doods Beasley, Thad Young, Anthony Bennett, Jeff Green, etc.

I think he is more likely an Abdur Rahim type player. If Johnson was still on the board I'd be pissed if we took Looney.

Plus for some reason UCLA prospect are always underrated.

Draft Express:
Strengths:
-Solid frame. Big shoulders. Should be able to fill out nicely
-Good wingspan (7-1)
-Plays extremely hard
-Excellent rebounder
-Very competitive defensively
-Guards multiple positions
-Gets in passing lanes. Blocks shots
-Decent shooting mechanics. Can make a spot-up 3-pointer
-Uses shot fakes to open up driving lanes
-Unselfish player. Does all the little things. Doesn't mind doing the dirty work

Weaknesses:
-Somewhat stuck between the 3 and the 4 offensively
-Doesn't have a consistent means of scoring right now except via offensive glass
-Flat-footed jumper with a slow release
-Average ball-handler
-No left hand
-No real post game

Seems like a good risk/upside pick at the 8-11 range

Sounds like a player Lindsey would LOVE.

I would take either of those at pick 7.

I agree on combo forwards. Just not the same as a wing who plays 2/3 or a combo guard. Could Looney end up being like Marvin Williams, a decent player who never really found a home at either forward spot?

Are there some 5's in the 2nd round that we could draft to back up Gobert? Would Dakari be a decent choice? Is he worth trading up for if needed?

What if that is the upside and Marvin Williams is the floor?

I just think those type of guys are replaceable... we could have the real Thad Young or Jeff Green this offseason.

Here's a scouting video.

I don't think I've watched him play a full game... so I can't add anything to that video.

I like him. We really gotta go after some great perimeter defenders.

Really scared that Luwawu will go in the first round. He could be a haul for Utah. Hopefully we get a late first rounder for Kanter
