Following Potential 2018 Draftees

Melvin Frazier's defense reminds me of the Claw. Almost flawless on D and can contribute to any NBA team from day one. If he can get those jumpers to fall...

Hard pass to the highest possible degree.

If you cant average a block or a steal per game in that conference as a NBA prospect, then wow. The guy has an unfathomably bad steal percentage to where it's almost laughable. His team is 1 game out of last place in his conference for crying out loud. I'm a process over results guy most of the time, but when the results are as bad as they are with Johnson, I cant over look them. He is another product of the Adidas Nations Camp hype. He is small ball 4 who can neither defend at a high level or shoot.

Dylan Windler is 10x the prospect he is, IMO, if we are comparing mid-major sleepers.

It's Monday. Don't break my spirit so early in the work week. I'm riding or dying with this ************.

It's just super weird. I'm not sure anyone has a lower steal percentage in college basketball among players who people view as NBA prospects. i assume it's part of the scheme that they run defensively, but even then, it's crazy that he doesnt luck into more steals with how athletic/big he is compared to the competition he faces.

RealGM has him at 82/92 on all teams from the stripe this year!! 91% in BBL play!

AST/TO ratio could use a lot of work tho, he's so young tho, u basically gotta treat him like he's a year younger than all the freshman, cuz he pretty much is.

I think Bonga just needs to grow into his body, tbh. Wait til he fills out a bit. He'll be 6'10" with a 7' wing-span and some legit ball skills. He won't really play PG in the league, but in a motion offense where everyone is passing and cutting, he could be really effective. He can pass over the top of the defense and use his long strides to get to the rim. He's not unlike Exum in that regard. He's got great hands and some subtle timing that comes from running PG for years.

The thing that made Andrei Kirilenko so effective on offense before DWill took over was his mobility and creativity for a guy with that size and length. AK was never really a shooter, but he was a unique talent 15 feet in. He could score at the rim, run pick-and-rolls, set people up with clever bounce passes, etc. It wouldn't take too much for Bonga to do some of that, basically running pick-and-roll action like Joe Ingles does.

When I watched him a year or so ago, it looked like he was tripping over his own feet, but now he's starting to mature a bit.

I haven't watched him at all, but is it a situation where he's relied on to score to the point where he just doesn't play much defense?

That doesnt explain it at all. He only scores 15 ppg and takes 12 shots. It's hard not to luck into more steals.

Coach K is doing soemthing wrong... Showcasing Allen too much...

Those 4 bigs, Carter,Bagley, Bolden and DeLaurier play a combined 90 minutes and only score 23 points?

thats cutting off your nose to spite your face...

David Locke today went on today about how Raul Neto helps the team play better when he's on the floor. He then mentioned that Mitchell is more effective offensively when he doesn't have to take on the PG duties. He also made it sound as though Mitchell plays better next to Neto than Rubio. The bottom line is that it isn't a ringing endorsement of Rubio, and it makes me wonder if the Jazz see Rubio in the team's longer term plans. If not, then I could see the Jazz go for a versatile guard or wing, seeing that as one of the team's needs.

There are a lot of directions that the Jazz could go and the fact that they will get to evaluate Exum before the season ends will do wonders. I am still firmly on the bandwagon of a future Exum/Mitchell back court. I think the center position is set that leave the 3 or the 4 that need the most help. I want to draft a 3/4 or a 4/3
