Hard pass to the highest possible degree.
If you cant average a block or a steal per game in that conference as a NBA prospect, then wow. The guy has an unfathomably bad steal percentage to where it's almost laughable. His team is 1 game out of last place in his conference for crying out loud. I'm a process over results guy most of the time, but when the results are as bad as they are with Johnson, I cant over look them. He is another product of the Adidas Nations Camp hype. He is small ball 4 who can neither defend at a high level or shoot.
Dylan Windler is 10x the prospect he is, IMO, if we are comparing mid-major sleepers.
It's just super weird. I'm not sure anyone has a lower steal percentage in college basketball among players who people view as NBA prospects. i assume it's part of the scheme that they run defensively, but even then, it's crazy that he doesnt luck into more steals with how athletic/big he is compared to the competition he faces. It's Monday. Don't break my spirit so early in the work week. I'm riding or dying with this ************.
RealGM has him at 82/92 on all teams from the stripe this year!! 91% in BBL play!
AST/TO ratio could use a lot of work tho, he's so young tho, u basically gotta treat him like he's a year younger than all the freshman, cuz he pretty much is.

That doesnt explain it at all. He only scores 15 ppg and takes 12 shots. It's hard not to luck into more steals.I haven't watched him at all, but is it a situation where he's relied on to score to the point where he just doesn't play much defense?
**** AJ.
<30% from 3.
Thought he was 41% for some reason.
David Locke today went on today about how Raul Neto helps the team play better when he's on the floor. He then mentioned that Mitchell is more effective offensively when he doesn't have to take on the PG duties. He also made is sound as though Mitchell plays better next to Neto than Rubio. The bottom line is that it isn't a ringing endorsement of Rubio, and it makes me wonder if the Jazz see Rubio in the team's longer term plans. If not, then I could see the Jazz go for a versatile guard or wing, seeing that as one of the team's needs.
