I didn't think he would either but the report says high 2nd round pick. His worst year of college his freshman year he still averaged over 9 points per game.No way he gets drafted...

You think he's a better prospect than Nathan Knight?... c'mon man, there's no way...I didn't think he would either but the report says high 2nd round pick. His worst year of college his freshman year he still averaged over 9 points per game.
KSL and the Deseret News carried it.You think he's a better prospect than Nathan Knight?... c'mon man, there's no way...
Yoeli Childs looks nothing short of ridiculous shooting FT's... Where'd he learn that form???
There was supposed to be some big whole re-worked shot form this year too, right? and he shot 50% from the FT line?... That report is bogus as it gets, whoever wrote that is clueless or full of **** and knows it.
Wheres the report? link it. I'd bet its from some local ***-kisser who sounds completely out of touch.
Chris Smith is a guy who keeps moving up my board the more that I watch. He's a big wing who has shown improvement every year at UCLA. He still needs some development time to his all around game but the scoring potential is nice. He dropped 30 on Colorado and was defended by Tyler Bey most of the game.
Where do you guys stand on Lamelo Ball?
I love the playmaking and vision. Very real possibility he's a double digit assist guy. His handle is good. He's a shifty athlete I have little doubt he can beat his man consistently when his man plays him close or is on his heels.
I don't buy the outside shot. I think that he needs to fix his lower body mechanics and develop something consistent. The upper body isn't great either. His upper body is a little better than what Lonzo started with but it still isn't great. That two hand push shot in front of his face is something I don't ever see having a ton of success. I think he could be a low 30's % shooter from 3 maybe. 33-34%. Don't really see much better than that. Of greater concern is the lack of finishing ability, lack of ability to draw fouls, and a midrange game.
I just don't know if he can score enough to be more than like a 3rd scoring option.
Defense is questionable too. The tools are there to be decent. Not sure he'll ever be above league average.
There's a solid chance imo that he's like a slightly better offensive and slightly worse defensive version of Ricky Rubio

His shooting off the dribble is clean!! Decent PG prospect for sure. That being said, placing him anywhere other than the 50's of this draft is probably a big mistake.Have you guys watched Yam Madar? He's fun.

What are your guys thoughts on J'yoe Mama?
Here is who a Yahoo mock draft has the Jazz picking:Idk how I feel. Shows pretty good feet to cut off any type of penetration. Body shape isn't very optimal. Gets hot from time to time especially in evening games. Kinda weird. Almost like Mama is cookin. Quite uncoachable once a month or so tho. Needs to work on that.
Here is who a Yahoo mock draft has the Jazz picking:
24. Utah Jazz
Vernon Carey, 6-10, Center, Duke
Even before the fallout between Jazz star Donovan Mitchell and center Rudy Gobert, Utah was going to head into this draft looking to add to a defense that took a step back overall this season.
The Jazz ranked 11th in the league in defensive rating prior to the season being suspended indefinitely. That would be their first time outside of the top 10 in that category since 2015 if they don’t move up during the season reboot next month.

So someone that I know out of a mutual love for basketball has connections inside college basketball and he passed some info on to me regarding some off court stuff on Paul Reed, Reggie Perry and Jaden McDaniels. Let's just say it's not so great. I think I might move Reed down my board. I trust the source. You can take this FWIW and choose to believe or not.
