Following Potential 2025 Draftees

no. at least not in terms of explosive vertical athleticism, getting on top of the rim type athlete.
I didn't know but figured that would be the case. Watching VJ highlights it seems like he is in the 99th percentile for get up.
I don't want the jazz to draft him but if they did then I would immediately be excited for all the highlights he would provide.
He seems to have that Vince career Carter, Zion Williamson, Blake Griffin, Derrick Rose kind of bounce to him.

I am curious about Kam Jones. I like his size more than many of the projected 1st round PGs. His 3pt% dipped this year and he is a senior. I don't have the problem some people do with seniors (All I need to say is Desmond Bane was a senior) I am thinking early to mid 2nd round. Has anybody watched him?

Found a channel recently where the guy claims he does some scouting for nba teams. Also talks alot about shot form and says that is his area of expertise. Funny enough, he also claims to have some connections to the Jazz organization in a few of his videos. I found him to be more informative than the standard youtube scouting video.

Thanks for sharing. I typically don't enjoy these type of videos, but this guy definitely knows his stuff. I just finished a few videos and I learned quite a bit. I want to go work on my jump shot now, lol.

I'm not sure I can take away too much from his analysis as far as how to rank players, because he really isn't looking at the big picture, just a few games, and not even full games, just breaking down the highlights.

I'm just watching Tre Johnson videos because that is who we are likely drafting. Anything else would be a pleasant surprise, but I'm making myself OK with Tre.

I hated the tank, but I am happy that we aren't having to have the Kas vs. Kon discussion. That would have been soul-sucking. . .

Kon is going to be really good.

I worry that he won't get past anyone off the dribble and that prevents him from being a major on-ball guy. There are still some physical limitations.

Ironically, that’s my fear with Tre. Tre can shoot jumpers off the dribble, but he can’t beat anyone. Kon actually gets into the paint better. This isn’t to say Kon has more potential as a shot creator….but Tre just has a really tough living in the NBA as a guy who creates but only creates tough shots. I think both are likely to be off ball players.

Said everyone about Podz as well. He was also undersized, unlike Kon.

BBIQ beats athleticism when it comes to guaranteeing NBA careers.... but you really need both for the high end outcome unless you are an extraordinary individual like Jokic. Thats why people bet on athleticism and then after their guy doesnt pan out they all act like "damn, should have picked the guy who is a hooper".
