Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Demin had 10 assists last night
Demin had 2 points on poor shooting

Yep, at this point I'm hoping he stays kind of mid enough to drop to the Jazz's Timberpup's pick, but the fact is, BYU's offense just scored in the 90s three straight games, two on the road, two top 25 teams and the hub making it work is Demin. He's going to get the Freshman record for assists (for BYU) passing Ainge. He'll probably still go top 10 and people will wait on the shot to progress.

I think Kasparas needs a guard like Collier next to him. Collier would have to shoot it, but the Jazz would really lack penetration with Kasparas at the 1.

Doesn’t that defeat the purpose of Kas? Surely Kas can play a bit off the ball with his shooting, but his whole appeal as a prospect is the potential to be a ball dominant, offensive hub.

I don’t think Collier is good enough to influence our decision anyways….but if you’re not drafting Kas with the hopes of being that ball dominant guy I don’t think you should consider drafting him in the first place.

Luka has had a PG next to him his whole career until the Lakers. You're being pretty shortsighted if you think he has to be the only PG on the court.

Only PG? Never said that. But his value is as a ball dominant player, and Collier cannot play off the ball. Collier would be a horrific pairing with Luka, for example.

Collier is a rookie. Just like you wouldn't influence your draft due to Keyonte, you arent influencing your draft because Collier cant shoot as a rookie.

Well then we’re in agreement, we shouldn’t let these guys dictate our draft decision. But the two things you mentioned are not all the same thing haha.

But getting back to Kas, I think if you don’t believe in Kas as a ball dominant player and needs to play next to another ball dominant player you shouldn’t consider drafting him anyways. That’s the point of drafting him.

Saunders is the hub that is making it work though.
Like without Demin BYU wouldn't be as good. But it wouldn't be a huge drop off in play. BYU would still be a good team.
Without Saunders it would be a huge difference in play. BYU would suck.

Speaking of saunders, I feel like there should be more buzz about him.
29 minutes per game.
16 points per game on pretty insane efficiency: 52% from the field, 45% from three, 76% from the line and 62% Efg.
Only 1.3 turnovers per game too.
Insanely good catch and shoot guy. Elevates way high on his jump shot and has a crazy quick release making him almost unguardable. Good defense doesn't have much of an effect on him.

Maybe his age hurts him. Just turned 22 in January.
