Following Potential 2025 Draftees

If Jamir Watkins from 24 was entering this draft I'd be all about him. His recent season was sort of a disappointment, but that may be because he was just in over his head and in too big of a role. In his previous season he was an elite stocks guy, great rebounder, high assists (for role), and shot nearly 50% from the line.
I love Watkins. He is almost the perfect role player player.

Have given it some time, but really haven't fallen in love with anyone in our range.

Flagg/Harper are really the only guys I love from this draft.

Would prefer to trade down/out at this point, grab a future starter type guy (think Knueppel) in the mid-later lottery and have another asset for the future. Jakucionis would be nice if folks think the injury issues really bothered his shooting the 2nd half of the season.

Could see selling myself on Bailey if we wound up with him.

Think Sorber is significantly underrated, but a bit of an awkward fit if we're keeping Walker, don't really think they can play together. Would still love him at #21.

Toney Jones and SI saying Jazz are high on Bryant and Fleming (I like Fleming). Jones acknowledges the Jazz would have to move up from 21 to get him.
Flemming feels like a great pickup around 16. Can we move up from 21? Do a couple of seconds get the job done? Probably not. Can we toss in Keyonte's 2024 defensive prowess while keeping Keyonte?

A NBA scout from a lottery team told Rafael Barlowe that Jeremiah Fears is hot right now.

The scout said "I honestly think his draft range is anywhere from 2 through 5. I don’t know if he is going to be around at 7 for the Pelicans."

They continued to say they know New Orleans likes him and so does Brooklyn.

"Pelicans and Nets are the two teams I could see really trying to trade up into the top five."
I love it when guys rise like this. It means that the draft tables move around. I remember when Damian Lillard rose really fast. It ended up screwing the jazz because I hoped we would get him but it also was cool to see how more teams started seeing something there that they hadn't seen before. 5th pick is a good spot to be when these things happen.

That report said Fears was getting consideration 2 - 5. I doubt the Spurs would take him ahead of Harper. If they did, this draft would get all sorts of mixed up.

I think the news about Fears being 2-5 is due to potential trades, not anyone in the top 5 taking him (outside of potentially Utah)
Here's a question... if SAS are that unconvinced by Harper and willing to entertain trades... shouldn't we be bidding for that pick? Be it using picks or using... player(s)?

Closest reference point would probably be Sixers trading up for Fultz. The Sixers traded #3 (considered a tier below 1-2 at the time) and one future pick (which was expected to be good pick).

Could also say Mavs trading up to #3 for Luka, which was a similar price for moving up from #5.

The Bulls traded #2 (LMA) and a second for #4 (Tyrus Thomas) and Victor Khryapa. The Bulls are so stupid lol.
