Following Potential 2025 Draftees

Because they can trade down and still get him. Do we really think Philly is going to draft Tre or VJ?
So he is working with the team that wants to take him... and he wants to go there but he's doing them a solid by tanking his value so they can take him at 5 or 6... even though that will cost him real money over the next 4 years? Its a 5M-16M difference from 3 to 4-7.

Don't know why people are so obsessed with calling Ace a 2. It doesn't matter, but muh narratives I guess......
Yah... I don't know why in today's league anybody bothers with calling players this or that position. I feel like it's more about what role and functions he does than any particular position. Does he play on ball or off... what kind of actions are run for him, if any, etc.

I don't care if he's 2 or 3 or 4... or... small 5. Telling me what you expect him to do on our team is much more interesting.

interesting. i've never seen anybody who is obssessed with that. but there are a lot of websites out there so not doubting you've seen a lot of it. just that i haven't. fwiw, i agree it would be weird.

I hope it’s WAS that Ace wants. You’re only trading one spot down so you can ensure you get your guy. Makes a lot of sense to be them as well. WAS is good at convincing guys to come to chase their chucking dreams. Ace would have a clear pathway to do whatever he wants. WAS also traded up one spot to secure Bilal. This is right up their alley.

Going up from 21 to 18 is a logical payment.

If the Jazz have legit interest in Kneuppel at #5, that's enough of a deterrent to prevent Charlotte from trading back to #6 with Washington. Presumably, Charlotte wants Kon if VJ isn't available. Jazz need to keep it unclear if they want Tre, Kon or Ace.

Mike Nolan passed on Aaron Rodger’s cuz he was too cocky.
I’m still upset. Lol I heard Nolan asked both qb’s him and Alex Smith to juggle the ball around their backs as much as they could. Smith didn’t question it where as Rodgers had some push back on why this was a necessary exercise. I hope that’s not true. Lol probably cost us a couple superbowls.

Nope.. they tanked to get a prospect they liked. If they can accomplish that and get stuff who the hell cares if they picked him at 5 or 8. If Fears is there guy and they get him at 5 or 8 then the 8 plus stuff is very much preferable.

Fears is likely to go at #7 to the Pels, if he doesn't go sooner. It's a risk to trade back to #8, unless you're happy with Maluach, Queen or Essengue.

NOP just traded for the #23 pick from Indiana and gave them back their 2026 pick in a deal. Weird.

Pels may be positioning themselves to move up in the draft. Could even be with the Jazz (7+23 = 5). One of Fears, Kon or Tre will get to #7. If Tre doesn't make it to #5, maybe the Jazz would do this...

This makes more sense than the BRK deal you mentioned.
