I don’t see how you take Kon over Ace and Fears unless you think he’s more than just a 2nd side guy. (The other guys have a star upside.) Kon showed flashes of on-ball initiation in the tournament. He might have that ability, and that would be more rationale for taking at 5.

Teams initiate all the time from the wing, including with guys who were considered limited playmakers at one point. The Celtics play through Tatum. The Clippers play through Kawhi. The Magic play through Wagner. Etc. I’m only guessing, but I assume the Jazz see some of that potential in Kon.

My main concern with Kon is his footspeed.

Ok but Kon is not an initiator
 
Riley has some of the weirdest movements. Looks like a flying squirrel when trying to draw contact on jumpers. In general, his feet are everywhere. Looks really goofy.
