Following Potential 2025 Draftees

VJ is probably going #3 because Ace is a horrible fit with Philly philosophically and timeline wise.

Ace gets to #5 if the Hornets choose anyone else. I have no idea what the Hornets value though. The Saluan pick was a catastrophe and them trying to scam the Lakers was... really strange. Their new GM has done almost nothing other than those two moves.

Would the Jazz take Ace at #5? Maybe? He fits the disappointing blue chip prospect that Ainge loves.
Now praying Hornets takes Ace.

Ace is literally the opposite of Morey-ball? Ace never gets free throws or layups and rarely takes threes. His advanced stats are also pretty poor compared to VJ's. And Ace is just very very raw and not used to playing in a team context and would be the clear #5 on Philly (when the team is healthy which is not that often to be clear)

There is literally nothing about Ace Bailey that fits Philly or Morey in any way.

Yeah sixers probably taking VJ or Tre

I've been watching the defense of Tre, Kon, Kas, and Fears. Some of the film makes me more optimistic about their defense, but one thing I need to remind myself of is that even the bad defensive prospects (and future bad defenders) look like good defenders in college. If I looked back at my evals on guys like Key and Brice, I was probably saying something along the lines of "this guy isn't as bad as they say". To some extent that is true. If you look back at the film, these guys were not getting completely cooked. Yeah, I didn't factor in the difference in levels of competition enough. The biggest difference is just the number of players that don't suck on an NBA floor. In college, there's barely any threats on the court so you can just guard one guy and there's a good chance that that one guy can't do much with or without the ball. Add on the terrible offensive schemes and coaching and it makes it really easy to defend at this level.

I'll be interested in what you come up with. I don't think any of them will be positive defenders. Based on what I have seen live I would go Kon>Kas>>Fears>>>>>Tre

I cant even name a small forward on their roster. Ace Bailey makes the most sense on Philly. Him or Tre.

Philly has been playing Paul George and Kelly Oubre. Justin Edwards also picked up some minutes.
Yeah but George is cooked and Oubre has a player option. They have a clear need for an athletic wing with upside. Maybe they prefer Johnson or VJ, but I dont see anything "philosophically" that says Morey wouldnt want Ace.

???

Other than... the fact that Ace rates badly by statistical models, takes no free throws, almost no layups, and few threes?

And the fact that he's extremely raw on both ends on what is probably a win now team?

It feels like I just listed five things and then you just pretended to not be able to read for a second.

Cool, he plays SF, he's also years and years away and didn't help Rutgers win basketball games.

This isnt Morey's Rockets teams and players can be coached.

I can read fine, I just think you're saying stupid **** and dont know what you're talking about.

So he plays nothing like how Morey or the 76ers want their players to play like, he's years and years away, didn't produce in college, but all of that is fine for a win-now 76ers team because he can be coached to play completely differently within several years?

VJ is not a great prospect, but he actually really produced in college whereas Ace was a distant #2 on a horrible team.
