Following Potential 2025 Draftees

The star drill at the combine is dumb because they basically walk it when you watch video. Real star drill you should be running at close to game speed.
Isn't it timed? I guess I need to go watch some videos.

Whatever the case when I'm looking at past results I'm seeing a lot of guys with the top results are guys that were not drafted/ drafted late who are still on NBA rosters.

There are 20 Cashiggy videos on Ace Bailey. That's a third of his season and does include some of his stinkers. No need for highlight reels this year.

I've got to say, if you've seen one Ace game it's like you've seen them all.

imo, if his potential is going to be maximized you want him to be the primary creator. at every level, he's always been a lead guard. why? he will nearly always be the best passer/playmaker on the floor - as such you want the ball in his hands as often as possible. everybody on the floor will be better if Demin is initiating.

You can't maximize everyone individually and your team at the same time unless you have perfect roster construction. I'd don't miss the point. The point is Demon, at this time, is not talented enough as a scorer or shooter to be given primary creator role. He would not make players better if he can't himself command respect from a defense.

In language you can understand what you said was "retarded".

Demin is intriguing but from what he has shown this season, he doesn't have enough to be the primary creator. Bad at shooting and bad at driving to the rim. There were moments where I saw him Ben Simmons'ing layups. I don't know if the guy has any scoring instinct. The passing vision is special but unfortunately, I don't think he has what it takes to push it further.

Local Hornets reporters don't think that that the Hornets will take Ace Bailey.

Their reasoning

1. Terrible fit with LaMelo and Brandon Miller
2. FO has constantly promoted how much extremely high motor and high work ethic stuff matters to them (which Tre and VJ have demonstrated more regularly)

Andy Larsen shows up occasionally in surprising situations.

Whoever we end up getting will be more fun to watch than anyone we've taken in the last 2 years of the draft..... Saying that, we should win the summer league since this years picks and everyone from the last 2 years should be playing imo

Carter Bryant and Drake Powell are very similar prospects to me. I liked Powell better early, but grew to like Carter Bryant better after a few games I watched of his where he really blew me away. The main reson I would go with Carter Bryant is his activity level is much better, but check out these stats:

Powell - 7pts/3reb/1ast/2stocks, 48/38/65 shooting splits, 13.8%usg.

Bryant - 7pts/4reb/1ast/2stocks, 46/37/70 shooting splits, 16.4%usg.

Powell - 6'5.25" height, 7' wingspan, 43" max vert

Bryant - 6'6.5" height, 6'11.75" wingspan, 39.5" Max Vert

Idk if it's timed, but guys are basically power walking spot to spot

If one is going in the lotto and one may be there in the second round... I'll take the second round.

Carter Bryant is probably going in the 1st half of the 1st round. Drake Powell is probably available at #21, or you might even be able to trade back a few spots and get him.

I see Powell as potentially our version of Cason Wallace, a guy who can guard point of attack, guard 1 - 3, and do enough offensively to keep the offense flowing. He only needs to hit a few shots and make a few drives.

One thing I took from those vids is his free throw shooting. I thought maybe it was a little small sample had some rim out... but he had some bad ft misses that left me a little confused.

Yes, they are both most likely 3&D players. They honestly compare pretty close to Cody in height and wingspan. Bryant is much closer to being physically ready, but Cody was further along offensively than either.

Carter Bryant might be able to play NBA defense in year one, but they are both most likely a few years away offensively. I'm not sure I want either on the Jazz when we already have the 170lb mono infected version at home.
