The second one of these giant wings becomes strong enough to be a legit big or have enough skill to stay a wing, they will probably pop. The problem is that neither of those things happen very much (almost never) for whatever reason with prospects like him.
I want to believe. I just kinda don’t for reasons that probably aren’t fair.

Bad interviews vs. elite RSCI makes him very hard to judge. The Jazz value those two a lot (even if they shouldn't)
Ben Saraf Film review today:
- I'm terrible at comps, but he reminds me a lot of a slower Ricky Rubio.
- Decent handle, good vision, but only an average passer.
- Big enough to feel comfortable being in the paint, good rebounder, but not a great finisher in traffic.
- Shoots a set shot, slow release, not very accurate.
- Works on defense, is very good against other slow guards, can't stay in front of quick guards.
- Tough, doesn't avoid contact.
This is how I would rate the European pgs in this draft for defense and shooting:
Defense: Demin, Saraf, Kas, Traore
Shooting: Kas, Traore, Saraf, Demin

Alijah Martin is a guy I like in the second round. Whenever I saw him play live he looked like a guy that could play off the bench in the NBA. He has NBA strength and athleticism and I think he can shoot well enough to stay on the floor. As long as his role is just catch and shoot, hustle, defend, play in transition then I think he is going to be ok.
That was one of the arguments used AGAINST him. He played against weak comp and despite being overwhelmingly more athletic, didnt dominate as much as some would think.
His wingspan is fine for a guard. He's strong enough and athletic enough to guard 1-3. I think he can be an end of bench/rotation player, which is fine for a second round pick.
If the 3's are actually 2's trying to play the 3, sure.
We just saw Caruso successfully guard Jokic. Small, strong, tough guards get away with a ton in the NBA which allows them to guard up. I'm not saying that Martin has that type of defensive craft, but he's the kind of guy I would think could develop it.
I don't think I'm saying anything crazy here. He's clearly a second rounder. I like him, but I'm not predicting anything other than an end of the bench, situational rotation player.
