Following Potential 2026 Draftees

Ya he had high turnovers while still not struggling at all.
Exceeded his season averages in scoring (on great efficiency) and rebounding and steals.

He didn't struggle that game despite the high turnovers. Also he got credit for some turnovers that weren't his fault and a couple probably should have been called fouls on the defender.

Also, you were saying he struggles against the good teams and then used kansas state as the example. K-state is unranked, and in 14th place out of 16 teams in the big 12. They have 6 losses.
In the highlights the announcers said he was struggling that game and the reason Kstate was keeping it close. But BYU does get some hate announcers.

But fair point about them not being good. It's just a college I actually heard of compared a few of the previous games.

Maybe you forgot that the Mavs had a ~1% chance at winning the lottery and it also corresponded with them trading the most decorated 25 year old ever to the league’s darlings for rubbish.
We don't know the odds for Utah moving up yet. I tend to agree it was quite a crazy coincidence for Mavs to move up. It will still be a bigger deal to most fans to see AJ stay in state after playing high school and college ball in Utah. Plus people love to hate on Utah.

I've already been reading people online getting worked up if Utah lands him. But I don't really care if we get him. Even if it's somewhat rigged I'll be happy we got him.

He has a hitch in his shot that unless fixed is going to hurt him at the next level. I have watched him closely and his shooting motion.

When he shoots in rhythm his is almost automatic but when he sets and gets into his normal shooting motion it is like he flicks the ball at the end. Almost whike coming down on his jump.

It is weird but what puzzles me is he doesn't always shoot that way. Sometimes it is a great fluid shot.
Yep, the less he thinks about it the better his shot looks. Not that it ever looks bad.

If we do get an AJ or DP, we are basically relegating Ace to a 3&D role for his career in Utah. That ultimately might be his best role, but he wouldn't get as much room to explore role expansion.

Key/Lauri are going to be 2 of our 3 top options and if we get DP/AJ your imagine they'd be as well.

Not that it's a bad thing, but the Jazz will have too many mouths to feed offensively if we get top 2 in the lottery.

That sounds like a great problem to have.

Those sound like 4 players who could score 20+ a night. Pretty easy to imagine an evenly spread scoring distribution. I wouldn't be worried at all.
