Following Potential 2026 Draftees

AJ is an incredible talent, but he's exactly how you think about the AAU era in all the wrong ways.
not sure what you mean by that, but i don't follow a lot of aau.

he plays hard night in night out, he plays both ends of the floor (he's been elite defensively), he rebounds, he's unselfish, he's an efficient scorer, he's a great teammate, he works hard off the court, he's a great kid. not sure what i'm supposed to think of the aau era, but if that's what it is, give us more aau.

far from the perfect player - he still has some things he has to get better - his long range shooting of course, his first step could be a bit better, i'd say his handle is solid, but could use some improvement and his passing is solid, but could use some improvement. but any young dude will have things to improve. i wouldn't say any of those things are bad or "wrong".

I dont see AAU stuff with him at all. He just has a massive affinity for back to the basket play (which is probably the least AAU thing possible), sometimes to a ridiculous degree when he starts his post up from the 3pt line.

definitely. but ultimately, as far as back to the basket, i think he just knows his turnaround mid-range jumper is elite and can't be stopped, at least at this level.

32-6-6 for Bruce Thorton vs Illinois.

Keaton Wagler had a great game for Illinois. Him and Amari Allen are two very interesting playmaking wings who werent ranked very highly.

There are some spreadsheet question marks on AJ….but he freaking amazing on film. He’s gonna be a star.

2nd half AJ outscored clemson 22-21.
He scored or assisted on 34 of 40 second half points.
Had more assists himself in the 2nd than Clemson whole team 5-3

It was a stupid comment, I shouldn't have written it down. I just got done listening to the game theory pod where Adam Fink was on and saying how AJ was more about the show in high-school than competing. The flexing down double digits reminded me of that comment, but in all honesty that's not my personal experience watching him play.
