I'm not sure what you would qualify as a point center, but would assume that they could at the least protect the rim and pass. I don't think Lopez will be high level at the NBA at either of those things.

Just out of curiosity would you consider ihart a point center?
I honestly haven't watched enough ihart to remember. I do think he can make solid passes from the elbow, though. I just can't remember if he has the handles to qualify as a "point center".

I think a point center has to have enough shooting and dribbling threat so that his defender cannot sag off. You want maximum spacing whenever the point center is (a) the screener in a PnR, or (b) is involved in dribble handoffs, or even (c) with a live dribble.

I'm just sorta working this out. I don't have a finished definition here. And it's definitely not a very precise concept.

Neo Avadalas' shooting has regressed through the floor. He's made 4 of his last 29 FGAs over his last 3 games: 1/8, 3/15, 0/6.

20 NBA scouts were polled on who they’d take #1:

Peterson - 12
Dybantsa - 8
Boozer - 0

Which is wild to me. Boozer is the best prospect in the class.

No he's not. I like him but Peterson and AJ are clearly the top 2 prospects for me.
