Yup. Bird screwed this up pretty, pretty bad.

Larry Legend dropped the ball, I think this is worse for the Pacers than losing Parsons is for the Rockets tbh.

The Pacers are not beating the Cavs or the Bulls as currently constructed.

They have to replace Lance with Evan Turner or Rodney Stuckey i presume.

LOL .. they're not gonna win the EAST with those two starting, let alone the Spurs.

Couldn't they go after Bledsoe?

Couldn't they go after Bledsoe?

It would put them well over the salary cap(Which their over already with like 9 players), theyd probably push 85 mil with a full roster.

Plus Phx is going to match, im well convinced the Isaiah Thomas move is more about insurance next year when Goran Dragic opts out.

So the team that is in win now mode and knows more about lance than any other team decided to take a pass at this deal? They may have screwed up but I'd wait to declare this a win until it's played out a bit. It's a seemingly good value if lance doesn't do lance things.

So the Pacers reportedly offered Stephenson 5 years $44 million... = $8.8m per year on average.

He has now signed with CHA at 3 years $27 million = $9m per year (team option last year)

Hmmmm.. he's willing to go to CHA for $0.2million extra per year???

Somebody please explain to me the logic behind this.

Maybe he has Bonzi Wells agent.

Great pickup for Charlotte. Really helps their creativity and defense department. The additions of him and Marvin Williams probably mean that they'll start shopping Zeller and Henderson.

Wrong. Indiana didnt pass on lance stephenson. The opposite actually. They offered him a contract.

Lance passed on indiana

I guess he did... This doesn't make much sense to me from Lances perspective unless Indiana pulled the offer. I can't wait until thriller gets on and loses his ish because of this.

Well a lot of things don't make sense when Lance is involved that is why I didn't want him on the Jazz. However it does make the Jazz Hayward offer look even worse.

Yeah he was never an option for us and Charlotte would probably rather have Hayward. It does make the G-time deal seem even more out of whack.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Lance. He had 5/44 on the table and essentially took a guaranteed 2/18... He may have just Bonzi Wellsed himself.

The guy's not the worst head case in the league, but I think he's in the top five. If you've got really strong leadership on your team and an established coach who won't take crap, maybe you can handle someone like that and get the most out of them. We don't yet. I say good luck to the Hornets. Big Al and Marvin are two very nice guys in the NBA and I love them for that, but they're not going to deal well with Lance's antics. It'll be interesting to see what happens to their team chemistry the first time he fake a heart attack at mid-court after a no-call and gets tossed. I admire parts of his game, but I'll take Gordo all day, even at that price.

I want to see that list!

I like how Lance is "erratic" and Gordon is "stable". Seriously, the more I speculate about Gordo's psyche, the more I'm convinced he's just a little boy. Little boys are erratic, too.

In the end, I'm not sure I'd have Lance in my locker room. But I think it's funny how Hayward escapes speculation.

That's a fair opinion. There is NOT a snowball's chance in Ut.., I mean HELL I'd ever want Lance on the Jazz. At the same time, I can see the concern over Gordon. He did pout during the season. I was against matching, but now that the deal is done, let's at least hope he becomes somewhat overpaid instead of grossly so. I think having more players involved in the offense will help. I think having PG's actually initiate the offense will do wonders. Hayward is NOT Kobe. He's not Lebron. But that's what was being asked of him last year.

I would bet he'll be pretty close to 45%/40% next season. And I think he'll be the leading scorer on the team. He'll be the #1 option without really being the #1 option if that makes sense. The ball is going to move around a lot, Hayward will get out and run with Exum on breaks and get buckets on early offense situations. It's the dawn of a new day in Utah with Corbin gone.

With Richard Jefferson, Marvin Williams and Brandon Rush signings, only one free agent from 2013-14 Jazz remains available: Andris Biedrins.

He could always go to Europe. At least the other three got some burn. Andris got nothing.
